If there is mozzies, there is water, just not sure how drinkable it would be have been. There had been a bit of rain recently which was probably in her favour. Removes imminent threat of dehydration

After seeing an image of her after the rescue where she was wearing a knee length skirt or dress and not wearing any shoes, I was a bit astonished wondering how she managed the walk out.

Confirmed she wasn't wearing any shoes. Maybe the sandals or thongs she had on when she left the vehicle, fell to pieces.

I admit to being a bit lazy not bothering to haul my boots out, running off for a bush wee out there after it had rained and totally wrecking my new Nike slides.

Bit more of an update from Carolina...

"Some people might wonder why I even left my car, even though I had water, food, and clothing there. The answer is: I lost control of the car and rolled down a slope. In the crash, I hit my head significantly. As a result of the accident, I left my car in a state of confusion and got lost."

You won't get an Ozploitation outback horror classic. Car breaks down, girl bumps head, does silly thing and leaves the vehicle, wanders around lost for 12 days and luckily gets found. Sure, a nice happy ending, maybe a survival doco. It would be interesting to hear in her own words.
