oooh H2F, come out where ever you are..., c'mon now, crawl out of that hole you've dug for yourself...or is it true , you really have crawled up your own asssssss

got to say how impressed I was with that goal to goal line you've been speaking of for over six months

Zac Dawson...well he was just Zac Dawson whilst Roughie reminded of a two year old chasing a beachball on a windy day

2 goals in over 3 1/2 qtrs just about says it all...Good Luck , you'll need every bit of it:thumbsu: :p

We lost to by 25 points to a team that finished 12th last year you lost by 17 points to a team that finished last. I think Richmond will need just as much if not more luck than Hawthorn.

gotta admit though trunks 25pts flattered you guys at best...2 goalks in 3q will battle to win anywhere. We were a couple of kicks off it, with No-one in the ruck...we've got planty of upside

I'm here bring it on MF, there hasn't been anything worth answering yet.

The Hawks had a horrible game against an in form team interstate.

You played last years wooden spooners at home.

What's your point.

Franklin kicked 3 and we played the worst possible footy we can and lost by 4 goals.

Not that bad I would have thought.

Bring it on, donut maker.

There was nothing 'in form' about Brisbane last night really...

If the Hawks did not have half a side behind the ball last night the Lions would have demolished you guys but hey 2.6 18 until 3/4 quarter time in dry conditions the type of attacking football the Hawks are known for. The thing that flattered the Hawks is much like last years 4 wins to end the season was they kicked a couple of late goals when the game was dead to make it less embarrassing. PLease explain to me how a great up and coming side like the Hawks only manages to kick 3 points for a quarter in near perfect conditions?

BTW don't even try and suggest the Hawks were not playing the little chip chip game, Jacobs had 33 possessions & 20 marks.

You ask a reasonable question. I wrote a more detailed description of my thoughts on the Hawk board, jump over and have a read if you can be bothered because your one of the reasonable Tigers.

In short I think the Hawks need to be given some breathing space because we haven't had a settled team. With the massive turn-over of players and all the young kids, we need some time to play into form with a settled strucutre before the gameplan, coach or team can be criticised. Except for Mitchell and Campball in their respective spots, every other position so far under AC has been swapped around almost weekly.

I think we will settle now and by the mid season break, be playing much better footy.

Buddy dropped about 6 marks and still kicked three goals and was our best. Look out when they start to stick.
I listened to the game on the radio. It was a terrible game for the Hawks but good signs for Franklin from what I gather. KB was going nuts every time he went near the ball, including his Shaun Smith impersonation that just missed. I'm a serial Franklin basher but even that got me excited. 6'5" standing on someones shoulder's?! Crazy stuff.

Thanks Tigeritis, he is truly coming along in leaps and bounds (literally leaps):)

As for Roughead he looks lost in the forward line and belongs at CHB. If he plays there he will be as good as anyone.

By the way all those bagging the Hawks gameplan are misinformed. We had a shocker, it happens. We had a very tough training session during the week and you do your best to prepare, but in hindsight (combined with the humidity) we had no run in our legs.

I am very confident about the Demons and with Crawf and Brown back, I think the real Hawks will be turning up.

The funny thing about this is when the Hawks beat the Dees in the Whizbang Cup it was the Dees who ran out of legs partly due to them having played a full scale practice match the Tuesday before in 30+ degree heat and there were some footy fans (not necessarily Hawks fans) talking about it had not effect because the Hawks were just just that much better yet here we are 5 odd weeks later and you have pulled out the no run in our legs excuse. Perhaps that is the reason they had most of their players behind the ball on Saturday night much easier to sit back there getting cheap possies than trying to run the lines and beat the Lions 1-1.

Come on 9th, we all bag each other and fair enough too, but if you watched the game the Hawks just had no run. If we played well and lost I would have been worried but we were useless, which is why I am not concerned yet.
