A 45-year-old South Isis man has been charged with abducting a three-year-old girl from her Childers home last Thursday.
The man has also been charged with one count of break and enter and one count of deprivation of liberty.
He is due to appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court this morning.
Now a witness has come forward and told the cops she saw the dad arguing with a bloke outside the pub a few hours before the kid was found and he said to the guy "I know who has her but there's nothing I can do"
WTF is dad drinking in the pub for when his kid is missing ?
Deadbeat
Police told the court Mr Kane had admitted to taking the sleeping child on April 10 because he felt sorry for the way she was living.
...
"It’s safe to say that he has no links to the family," Detective Inspector Bruce McNab told reporters in Bundaberg.
Sounds to me like neither the family or the accused want the real motive to be known by either the police or the general public, stinks.Well, this is confusing...

How did he know and have concerns about how she was living if he had no links to the family? Did he just randomly break in and decide to adopt her?
A search of his house at Rainbows Rd, in the rural South Isis district, uncovered “items linked to (the girl)” as well as evidence of a fire in which a camera and hard drive had been burnt.
One newspaper report mentions remnants of a fire with a burnt out camera and hard drive was found on his property. The implications of this are not good at all.

Getting negative vibes from that bit of detail. One newspaper report mentions remnants of a fire with a burnt out camera and hard drive was found on his property. The implications of this are not good at all.
