Missouri Governor doesnt understand HTML

So if anyone hasnt seen this latest news its...quite the chuckle.




Short version is: Someone pressed F12 and found the administrator of the Government website was storing social security numbers in the HTML, and he reported this oversight to the Government and now he is potentially going to be sued because of it.
 
Felt like saying "idiot" but poor bastard doesn't understand how it works obviously.

Whoever convinced him that it's the end user's fault and not the developer should get in a lot of trouble. He says it cost taxpayers $50m. Will cost them more when they lose in court.

Poor bastard. Must be surrounded by yes men. How hard can this be to explain to him in terms he would understand?

"Sir, it's like printing it upside down in small print at the bottom of a newspaper. This guy just turned the newspaper upside down and got out a magnifying glass, and when he realised what he saw, he let us know it probably shouldn't be printed there. I think you should have a talk with whoever is responsible for printing it"
