Warner (506 runs @ 46): 8/10. Had a typical Warner mixed bag of cameos and soft dismissals early on, but two hundreds and a rapid 48 in the finals when it mattered.
Wade (341 @ 31, 17 catches, 2 stumpings): 7/10. Would have wanted to turn one of his many starts into a big hundred, but generally did well with the bat. Racked up 19 dismissals with the gloves, the most of any keeper.
Forrest (250 @ 35): 6.5/10. Started off with a bang but tailed off late in the series with some single-figure scores. Looks the goods and consistency will come.
Ponting (18 @ 3.6): 1/10. Sadly could not get going at all, resulting in curtains being called on his ODI career.
Clarke (331 @ 55, 1 wkt @ 47): 9/10. His output with the bat was excellent given his interrupted series. As captain, was sometimes forced into defensive tactics by poor bowling.
Watson (121 @ 24, 7 wkts @ 17): 7.5/10. Struggled with the bat at times, but valuable with the ball. Will be grateful just to get through un-injured.
M Hussey (226 @ 25): 5/10. Could not get going to his usual high standards. Had some unlucky dismissals and hiding-to-nothing innings down the order, but Av of 25 must rate only a bare pass.
D Hussey (439 @ 55, 4 wkts @ 21): 10/10. Pretty much the perfect ODI series, contributed nearly every game with bat or ball or both. Played several rearguard actions with the bat and kept it tight with the ball.
Christian (191 @ 24, 13 wkts @ 27): 6/10. Still developing at this level, but chimed in with some handy cameos with bat and ball. Hat-trick clearly a highlight of his series.
Lee (12 wkts @ 28): 7/10. It was a Brett Lee ODI series.....expensive but wicket-taking with the ball.
Pattinson (5 wkts @ 29): 5/10. One good game and a couple of ordinary ones. Looked rusty at times before succuming to injury again.
McKay (15 wkts @ 19): 9/10. Excellent performance with the ball, mixing accuracy with changes of pace. Sadly will probably be remembered for the belting he copped from Dhoni in one game.
Starc (5 wkts @ 40): 4/10. As in Tests, he looked the part at times, especially in Perth where he used his height to great advantage. But only 5 wickets at 40 must rate a fail, and was not unlucky to be dropped.
Harris (3 wkts @ 57): 3/10. Like Starc, probably looked better than his figures suggest, but didn't take enough wickets to hold his place. Probably shouldn't be playing "meaningless" ODIs anyway...
Hilfenhaus (9 wkts @ 23): 7/10. Fell away at the end, but for the most part he showed the pace and swing that worked so well in the Tests.
Doherty (9 wkts @ 45): 6/10. Did his job of keeping it tight and picking up the odd wicket. Economical but not wicket taking so his raw numbers look ordinary, but such is the lot of a ODI spinner.
Lyon (0/36 in one match): 4/10. Not embarassed in the one game he played.
Thoughts?
I tend to be pretty generous...if blokes don't utterly f**k it up I give them a pass.
