According to the injury list published on the Herald Sun site, Mitch is 1-2 weeks away. Hopefully this is the case. Then the club will have to swap James Podsiadly for someone else on the long term injury list - I suppose against Steven Motlop.

He must have shown something to make Wells like him. The question is ... what has the injury done to him. Lets hope it has allowed him to get a bit of size on him and he lost nothing.

The lad is such an enigma. Its one thing he is a first rounder for us, but he was already a complete smokey because of his late growth spurt. We just don't know what we have until he strings half a dozen games together.

I really know nothing about this bloke. How many games has he played in the VFL? Did he even get on the field? Wondering about any impressions folks might have if they've seen him play.

I went down to watch the curtain raiser for the Rd 2 game last year (vs Richmond, Ottens injury), which was either VFL round 1 or their last praccy game. Took my seat on the flank, looked up and saw Mitch Brown charging out on a lead, collecting the ball, wheeling around ala Cameron Mooney and getting hit in a somewhat innocuous clash. He didn't get up. Of the 4 seconds I saw, he looked sensational.

he is not listed on the injury list in today's Herald Sun injury list. maybe he is ready to run onto the playing field & bag a quick half-dozen sitting at CHF this weekend ?
if so it would mean The Pod will use Motlop to stay on the seniors list i suppose ....

Mitch Brown will play VFL this week so long as he gets through this week's training, according to Balme, so I look forward to seeing him in the curtain raiser.
Awesome. Wouldn't expect much from him over the next two years though, as broken legs typically take longer to recover from than knee reco's. It took Kelly a few years to even start looking like the player he was set to become before his leg break.

The most important thing is for him to be fully recovered by the end of the year so he can start squatting and deadlifting over summer to put on some serious pounds.
