I'm not some injury guru but I read somewhere that playing whilst having OP can have some sort of healing effect, whilst having an operation is a massive risk.

I agree that before we were covered more by that paper, because we were playing good footy and Freo were mostly irrelevant (Except for the last half of 2006). Now that you're playing good footy and we are irrelevant more positive freo articles have been released.
