just heard a little birdie that saw Mitch meeting a dockers list management rep at a bar not to be named.

Whats cheapest way to get him - he seems to be much better psychologically.

I was listening to the Melbourne CEO on 3AW last week and there are absolutely no contractual obligations existing between Mitch and Melbourne. It has all been closed off and signed off.

Pre-Season draft?

Has been playing any where?

He is 27 - has another 4-6 years in him i believe and this gives us a second genuine tall behind PAV and gives Tabs and Apeness to develop bodies.

I'd be ok if there was an 'understanding' at draft time that helped him get back onto the Demons list because even though there are no legal ties now it was only this year that they let him leave for health reasons.

Other than that if feels he can do AFL again he can enter the draft and seriously good luck to him wherever he ends up but I can't see how he'd get to Freo unless other clubs agreed not to take him and honestly I'm not sure that'd be completely fair.

no other club would risk a draft pick on him - as to deal with depression you need to be near family hence in WA

The rumour is all based on this comment, did anyone else he's anything consistent with this? Where'd you hear it?

Would he be a free agent?

Not even worth the time. He plays about five games a season and there's a reason these guys do and will come cheap: they're not really worth it. Fremantle's great forward luring experiment has failed ever since Tarrant played his first game in the backline, where he did serviceable work, but it's been the same since then: ageing, injury prone, expecting to snag a bargain when it just won't happen. You get what you pay for and minimum pay in the pre-season draft is paying zero dollars zero cents – even in Tanzanian currency. Spend up or just invest time in Apeness or even Taberner.

Also, how this guy has escaped the shit he should've gotten is bizarre. Dogged Brisbane under the pretence of "homesickness" when the club was middling and very much, in retrospect, formed the beginning of their lull. He plays around and flirts with the Eagles and Freo and then goes for the money at the Demons – a club needing someone to pull them out and a club who were offering good money for that someone. Alas, he plays 0 games, leaves under the kind of excuse Troy Buswell used, and is now talking to a rival club about a comeback?

Not a free agent, would have to go through the draft. (Only a free agent if you were on another clubs list and they have not offered you a contract or 7+ years at one club. )

Not sure if you can nominate just for the PSD, I don't think you can do that. (99% sure)

Not on any list so as far as I know he'd be just another mature age recruit and that's bull **** SA he made his choice going to Melbourne, I've got no problems with that, neither did Brisbane or Melbourne and he did play a few games for Melbourne and to be honest they were mostly ****ing good ones. Injury hit him hard and then everything seemed to get on top of him, which happens.

I've no problems at all with Clark, not sure he'd be the saviour to our list though either I mean he hasn't kicked a ball in months afaik and his fitness must be way back for AFL standard just for starters.

He played a bit more than 0 games and most of them were pretty impressive performances too. He was the only shining light for them in the first half of 2012 before he got injured, averaging nearly 3 goals a game.

does that mean you think that we might have something to work with in tabs?

I wondered if he would be a delisted free agent.
