Being a long term Fitzroy supporter, I have a hatred for most Victorian clubs. I love it when you guys or any other interstate teams for that matter, destroy clubs like Carlton, Collingwood etc on your home turf.

For the first time, in a few days, I actually feel relaxed. I chucked away the angry pills. The "good fight" has been fought by both clubs. They can't keep butting heads.

All the best to you guys, regardless of who gets what picks/players on Monday.

I can tell you that Rossy Lyon was indeed a fearsome competitor. He used to run in from the centre square when the ball was bounced & run through the first opposition player in his way.

For such a laconic, laid back bloke, he was a terror on the field. Any Fitzroy supporter will tell you that.

You're going to have a very big side next year if you keep Griffin. Over time on the Lion's board, a lot of us thought that Mitch Clark would make a good Centre Half Back.

Personally I reckon that his best position is in the ruck. He plays like an old Ruck-Rover type. He is a very good link up man. Although no doubt you've recruited him as a Centre Half Forward.

Yeah a lot of people thought if Clark came in Griffen would probably go out, but Lyon wanted to keep him. He must have something in mind. I think they are a little concerned if Sandilands goes down next season that Zac Clarke would have to be our number 1 ruck (not sure if he is ready for that) or we will have to play Clark in the ruck. Which kind of defeats the purpose. I hope Griff gets some game because he was Port's preferred ruck option and he would have played as there number 1 ruckman.
Does seem that Clark does play his best footy in the ruck but a forward line with Pav and Clark would be hard to counter if we have smalls at their feet.

I don't get this certainty that we will get Clark in the PSD. The compo pick from GWS is a big danger from what I can gather. It's just bravado, its not based on anything rational. He might slip through but I wouldn't put my house on it.

You are probably right, but you could never be certain. You're just taking a calculated risk, that's all. Some of the people make it sound as though they definitely know the outcome. That's rubbish.

Reason we wont go the psd option is not because they dont want to risk it, its because Clark has done everything possible within rules to make it easier for us to get him.
But also said he would like to make sure Bris get something in return.
So to make sure bris get something in return we will not go the psd option an also because its not a good way to go about grabbing quality players an if we snagged him for nothing there would be alot of upset clubs that will be looking to do the same with some of our young talent.

When Farmer retires, Tarrant is over the hill and our Pick 13 is killing it for the Pies ....then what. Our premiership window has not even opened - we got to 3rd, dont trade the future - build on what we have.

They have already offered 16 apparently and Brisbane has said it is not enough. There was talk that we may need to add a player or go to mediation.
I am hoping that Brisbane are holding off on accepting 16 from us so Hawthorn won't get any ideas about asking for that pick in negotiation for Lisle. Don't know what Lisle is worth, so it may have nothing to do with it. Wishful thinking on my part I guess.
