As a draft fan, I love us now having two first round picks. We'll have our choice of Lockyer and Kersten, as well as getting a quality midfielder.
That is nowhere near enough to get Goddard.Come on down, B Goddard.![]()

If you dont mind me weighing in, i honestly believe you guys are better off without Clark, especially when you already have Griffen & Clarke in the wings. Just really dont see where he would have fitted in. He isnt really a good forward, played his best footy in the ruck and you dont need one those with that man mountain you have there. Picks 16 & 20 will be better in long run imo(not to mention the ridiculous salary he was wanting)

True! Mitch Clark agreed to join Melbourne for pick 12

They would be better off letting him go to GWS than accept that deal.Don't completely discount it.
I rate your opinion Chris so why do you say that? Bower for pick 20 would be a nightmare for us.I do think we'll make a play for someone now. Think pick 20 will be involved in a trade for Bower.

A little more than 24 hours after telling Fremantle officials that he was committed to returning home to WA and being a Freo Docker in 2012, Mitch Clark has tonight advised the club that he has instead accepted a revised offer from Melbourne.
Fremantle general manager of football operations Chris Bond said that the club was not in a position to match the second of two offers Melbourne had put to Clark, who has spent the past six seasons with Brisbane.
“If we were to match Melbourne’s offer to Mitch it would make him the highest paid player at our club over the next four seasons and we are not prepared to compromise our list management model to achieve that outcome,” Bond said.
“It’s disappointing that Mitch has decided not to follow through on his commitment to sign with Fremantle. We accept his decision and wish him all the best for the future. The club looks forward to entering the national draft with two first round selections in picks 16 and 20."
“I respect and genuinely appreciate the interest shown by Melbourne but these decisions are not always about the financial side of things,” Clark said.
“I’ve been saying for quite some time now that I want to return home to WA and play for Fremantle. Despite the highly attractive offer Melbourne have put on the table, I remain firmly committed to returning to Perth to be with my family and to signing with Freo.”
