Cotter, tell me right now. If Brisbane accept pick 12, will Clark go to Melbourne. Think hard about this. The likely answer is "no". Brisbane will NOT ever gain pick 12. THE END.

I did not need to think hard about this. You cannot possibly say we will not ever gain pick 12. to say that you must be sidekick.

Are you involved with either club in any way to make that judgement? Seriously Freo supporters, stop making decisions on behalf of the club and using it as a statement. No one really knows what the club will or won't do.

Dude, the club has nothing to do with it

Melbourne could offer pick 1, Jack Watts and Trengrove

Re: Mitch Clark - The sequal

Not necessarily. Imagine him being completely rid of home-sickness and he turns on a stunning season for you Dockers like the 2009 one he had for us. :D
2009, when he played as a sole ruck for the Lions.

2012, where he won't play as a sole ruck for Freo, unless Sandi, Griffin, Clarke and prob Keps simultaneously fall over.

His value to us is not as a ruck. We're not Port. We're not chasing a ruck. His value to us is as a forward, a position he pretty much played solo in 2011, and let's be honest, wasn't spectacular at.

how do you not see that clark will refuse to play in melbourne? clark has said repeatedly two things "WA...... Fremantle"..... reading this thread makes me feel like im reading an online argument with 6 year olds about business ethics...... quite clearly they dont know what they are talking about

kepler wil play between 1 and 4 games next year unless we have another ridiculous run with injuries... he will be rendered obsolete by clark

Shhhh, your not his sidekick!!

But it is good news for us:thumbsu: Melbourne wouldn't be afraid to take him in the PSD and back themselves to convince him to stay long term. That club has huge potential. Melbourne PSD pick ahead of you and if they are serious; then it does become a problem for you...

Melbourne's list manager on TW radio says it's true that they'll play for Clark...Good thing for us really, it will push Freo to up the ante for the trade propositions. :thumbsu:

If Melbourne are serious about picking up Clark it complicates things for Fremantle but unless he agrees to be traded there it's bad news for Brisbane.

At present there are only 2 ways for Clark to become a Demons player -
Option 1 - Clark nominates for the National Draft, Melbourne select him at pick 12, Lions get nothing.
Option 2 -Clark enters the PSD, gets picked by Melbourne, Brisbane get nothing.

Reckon Freo can do a deal like this :

Compo Pick traded back to GWS

Freo get Kyal Horsley and Pick 13 OR 14?????

The best thing about trade week. While Brisbane has been harping on about this deal to the media, Fremantle have remained eerily silent. A lot more professional than Robb Kerr and co.

Thumbs up to the Dockers team over there!:thumbsu:

I agree!

The problem for Freo is that they may be having trouble to get players to move to Brisbane. It is exciting times for Freo and players may not want to move. So as much as Freo would like to give them a decent player they may not want to go.

Hell if Mitch is suddenly okay with playing in Vic then I don't know why the Lions would even bother speaking to us. Surely there are plenty of other vic clubs who are better placed to get him. You'd think Richmond would be open to selling the farm given their need for a ruck.

Family just moved back to Perth. They initially moved over to Bris-vegas to support Mitchy. Whole family is a very tight unit. What do you reckon he'll be saying to his Manager? Yeah, please get me a deal where I re-locate to Melbs. Pull the other one.

Loving that Freo have not made an offer to Brisbane yet.

Scary though that Kerr sounded like the Brisbane board are not worried about the PSD and seem like they'll grab him if he falls to that. Bit of cage rattling there..

Yeah, pretty much.

He said "I want to come back to Perth to be closer to my Nanna who is dying of cancer and my two cousins who are getting out of the joint"..

He's not going anywhere else. They can blow as much smoke as they want

Clark said personal reasons largely linked to his family's health had led him to contemplate a move home as early as last year's trade period.

"I'm very close to my family," he said.

"I'm one of four boys. Mum and dad were living in Brisbane for about 14 months and they both got offered jobs back here and they decided to move back about a month ago.

"I'm very close to both my grandparents on both sides. My nanna's got terminal cancer. I'm very family orientated and was very close to my nanna growing up.

"Brisbane allowed me to come back and visit her earlier on in the season, but now I just feel like I want to be around more often and spend some more time with her."

Clark said he also wanted to be on hand to help two close cousins, who are in prison but are shortly due for release.

"It's very unfortunate that they're there," he said. "I'd rather not go into the reasons why they are, but now that they're coming out I want to be around and be able to support them."

Clark said a move to GWS had never been a consideration.

The goal has always been Fremantle. He saw no place for himself at West Coast given their dominant ruck duo and mix of tall forwards.

Ha, this Kerr bloke's a blow hard.

"we'll take him in the PSD if we can't get a deal done".
Good luck with that...
Cannot believe he made that statement ROFL.
Any creditability he had just went out the window he is starting to crack. Freo are playing a very good poker hand at the moment.
