Clark has shown he can put an AA season together, Ryder has shown he can play the odd good game, big difference, he's to casual and lacks intencity ATM IMO, as i said earlier, most of his good games are after his spot in the team has been questioned, he simply can't sustain that form though, he's mentally weak IMO, he might improve though.
Also, i've noticed when the club gives him a challenge (ie KB on Cloke, first time in the ruck on Anzac day etc) he steps up, but it just doesn't last, so much so that nobody really knows what his best position is.
Wait let me get this straight...You're telling me that finishing in the top 5 in a finalists BnF (2009) only takes the "odd few good games"? Damn, they must've been unbelieveable games for him to finish that high in an award that places importance on CONSISTENCY. A top ten finish in this year's BnF to boot too.
I'll tell you how this is being played.
Ryder is being severely underrated in this poll, to the point of stupidity.
Clark is being remembered for a season that happened two years ago, a season he hasn't been close to recapturing. Not only that, his coach at the Lions made him a permanent forward, why not throw him in the ruck where he was so good? Guess what? He is going to be a permament forward at the Dees too...
