How the hell do Fremantle fans feel that a 2nd rounder is more than enough?
Brisbane are more than within their rights to ask for 1st rounder + player.

As TBD has mentioned earlier (I think in this thread) a Freo 2nd rounder probably won't even get used by Brisbane so what's the point. Might as well be PSD.
Freo fans need to realise that the other side of the trade has to be of some value to Brisbane not necessarliy what they think Mitch is worth.

1st Rounder + Crowley should be more than enough for a guy who is out of contract and told his club he is heading home

If he puts himself into the PSD with a $ figure....he agrees to go anywhere.. GWS it is then....and a far greater compensation. Suits me..
In lieu of the self realisation that we're a snowballs chance in hell of having any chance to get O'Meara I'd be happy to concede our compo pick for Clarke and shut up shop with that offer. Maybe one of our yet to be contracteds' in Crowley, Bollenhagen, JVB, Pearce.. Or MJ.

The rumour was posted in the Freo thread by a Brisbane fan after a rumour in the Brisbane thread that was started by a Brisbane fan claiming to have spotted him.
Personally, I don't think it holds much water.

Will not get to Freo in the PSD.
If Freo want him, IMO they will have to give up pick 16 + a player
If not I can see Brisbane opening up to other club offers.

The lions very well may get what say but how do they field offers for an uncontracted player who resides in another state and who supposedly stated he only wants to live in wa? A reasonable deal should get struck or the next best option would be he goes to GWS in the PSD and the lions compensated with a band 2-3? compensation

Because at the end of the day, if the Lions and Freo don't come to terms...he is headed for GWS...I doubt he would want to end up there...and there would be many other suitors lining up for his services.

Mitch Clark is living in Perth. He has moved home to Perth. In order to be traded, he must agree to the trade. He cannot be traded wherever Brisbane want to trade him to without agreeing to the trade.
Do you think he will suddenly say "OK, so if I can't get to Freo then I'll move to Melbourne and agree to the trade?" It's just not going to happen.
He plays for Freo, Brisbane, GWS or West Coast next year. Those are the only 4 viable options. Forget the others, it's just not going to happen.

The Lions and Freo can't come to a deal...Clarks manager tells him that if he doesn't look at other options he will end up at GWS/stay at the Lions or look at other viable options outside of WA that are better than ending up in Bankstown.
Freo supporters need to look at this in a reasonable manner...rather than saying..well he has moved home and that it.
This is a professional sport and the kid will not turn down $500k a year because he doesn't get his choice of going back to WA.
