Spot on. 4 years to his eligible if I'm correct.
He's currently our highest paid player as well, so you'd be waiting until he's done 10 years of service (end of 2016) for him to become more a full free-agent.
How about...
Freo get - Clark & brisbanes 2nd or 3rd rd pick
and
Brisbane get - Zac Clarke, Palmer Compo and their 1st rd pick.
Brisbane need another mobile ruckman with Charmo and Clark leaving and McCauley being only good at hitouts. So Zac Clarke fits that mould and that would mean Freo have Sandilands, Griffith and Clark who are all top class ruckman. It would also mean Z.Clarke would get chance to be a clubs number 2 ruckman.
Since Clark is certainly worth a top 10 pick. Getting Freo's 1st rd pick this year and there compo would certainly add up to a top 10 pick. And with other clubs keen on Mitch Freo couldn't exactly be game to let him slip into the draft. Might sound a bit over the top but Clark is def worth some coin with all these clubs chasing him.

Still some good talent around pick 30 but yes freo would be getting ripped off big time. Palmer Compo Pick and first rounder would be fair.

Compo pick in 2012 draft is like gold at the moment as people are saying it runs deep and there is very good quality until pick 30-40
Mitch Clarke is demanding BIG dollars and his suiters will be limited with only 3-4 teams suitable.

1st & 3rd pick in this years draft is about the range i would suspect.
1st and 3rd round would not get the deal done would much rather ship him to GWS for band 2 which is likely to be a top 10 pick next year.

You want our best up and coming ruckman. And two first round picks. Not in a million years.
Zac Clarke is our number 2 ruckman now... not as a pure ruckman, but he'll be the second ruckman picked for all of the other things he can do. That's why the papers are saying Griffin is looking for a trade.
Take Zac off the table, get rid of the 2nd and 3rd round picks... so that we get Clark and you get the two first rounders... and then it'd probably be closer to reality.
But I genuinely hope we let Clark slip through, as there are other clubs in the league that need him more and would be prepared to pay more.

If that happens I think Freo could be held to ransom. With Clark leaving Brisbane, we only have Burger as a AFL standard ruckman. Getting Zac who I believe is 21 this year is a great age bracket for lions and there next run to the premiership. Then throw in lions 2nd rd pick and Mitch Clark who is worth two of Zac Clarkes. Then Freo are getting certianly something of value.
How about lions Priority Pick and Clark for what I'm wanting from Freo ??? that'd be Mitch Clark and pick 28 around abouts.
Also if mitch Clark comes. He takes Zac Clarke spot. Another thing for clarke to think about.

Yeah sure you would but GWS are not interested in him and his manager is on record as saying that gws has not contacted him at all about mitch & mitch doesnt and will no be going there ......... So its not brisbanes call and band 2 is not available

He's average and should cost average amounts or no dice.

You guys can have Schammer, Roger Hayden and the pick we get for trading our second un-contracted player to GWS (most likely Sheappard) which we are pretty certain will be band 1. for Mitch.
That doesn't take into account if the player is a wanted player by other clubs which he is. And the fact that the sub rule has also increased Clarks value. Lions also know that Freo want Clark this is obvious. Hardly Call a bloke who is wanting 500 000-600 000 a year deal "average" especially if he gets it.
Also how is Kennedy (pick 4) + pick 3 + pick 20 for Judd even on the same planet to a deal something like Zac Clarke and compo pick for Mitch Clark. Or 1st rd pick and compo pick for Mitch.

Mitch Clark I think is almost a justin Koschitzke type player. He may not be your number one forward. But his value to your team structure is huge with him being able to be a strong key forward or a ruckman. Also in his defence he has had nagging injuries during past 2 seasons and he hasn't trained in one position untill the start of this year.

Mate in all honesty I truly doubt that Fremantle would even do a Clarke for Clark straight swap ATM.
Mitch Clark has really droped his value this year with the way he has gone abouts things.
For a bloke that really has not done a great deal apart from 1 good year, He is demanding around 600k and wanting to pick and chose
Doesnt really give clubs alot of confidence in his character the way he has handled things.
My view is he is worth a 1st round pick around 10-15 & Thats to a club that is prepared to pay 600k
