Clarke is worth a top 7 pick if you ask me.

If you go back and read the posts no one has said that Zac Clarke is worth pick 5. They have simply said that they don't want the club to trade him and that only a really good deal eg pick 5 would make them want to trade him. Your also forgetting that ruckman take a lot longer to develop.

Your WA papers are reporting that Clarke is indeed on the radar of Brisbane... while I admit he is very much a long shot. The fact that you guys need a Tallforward more than you need another ruckman leans in brisbanes favour. Harvey has made it very clear he likes the idea of Clark playing forward for freo. Might be something cooking here...:D

You do realise that id Mitch goes into the PSD ......... YOU DONT GET A COMPO PICK !!

If he agrees to and signs with the GWS then you will get the compo pick & Mitch doesnt enter any draft, he is then considered an uncontracted signing.

Mitch Clarke will get traded to Fremantle for Freo's or Richmonds 1st round pick i suspect depending on if freo want to let Zac go to Richmond.

Pick Between 15-20 is about his value with his demands of $$$ and destination he has elected to go to, Really screwing Brisbanes chances of getting top value for him.

No matter what deal is agreed on regarding Zac & Mitch i believe there will be alot of extremely dissapointed BF members that have very high expectations on what will be given during trade period for these players.

Remember Cotter GWS wont take a player that doesnt want to play for them, The afl will not let a new franchise like gws get involved with players disputes & Problems in their first few years.

Wow Just Wow ..................... If Freo Do That deal, which effectively means 2 1st round draft picks !

We are getting into Garry Ablett Trade value here ............. For a uncontracted mitch clarke thats demanding 600k and wanting to choose his destination.

Harvey has already said that he wouldnt trade Zac Clarke for Mitch Clark. Plus a band 3 compensation pick and Zac Clarke would nab us a very good KPF from some other club.

Thought I'd counterbalance the trade police. 95 percent of mooted trades on this board are clearly ridiculous to most punters. The only thing just as certain is that you'll also be there in a flash in every thread to point it out. Feel like I'm reading the same thing over and over again.

As for Mitch, I'm really just looking forward to it being done and dusted. After a brief Fevola related interlude the Lions reinstituted a no ********s policy this year and Mitch stood out like a sore thumb.

Haha, Wishful much I know:thumbsu: Just saying Harvey keen on Clark. And its clear Voss rates Mitch. Meaning Voss will dig his heals while Harvey is emptying his pockets when it comes to getting a deal done.

freo already said "a straight swap for clarke and clark is not on" in response. pretty definitive answer. no chance of happening. not nervous at all.

Listing successful pick 5's and failing to list the ordinary players and duds who get selected early is not going to work as an argument. Clarke is a much surer bet than most players who will get taken top 10 this year, especially talls (for us Polak, Drum and Murphy) are poster boys for what a sure thing a high draft pick is.

We were supposedly keen on Mitch last year but didn't pay overs for him. Now he's a year older coming off another season where he played average footy.


To think some Brisbane posters were asking for a 1st rounder plus Fyfe :eek:

Not nervous at all. Considering he is under contract then we won't be getting screwed over. Either he stays, or someone pays overs for him in order for us to contemplate letting him go.

In this case, where we're talking about trades involving both Mitch Clark and Zac Clarke, yeah it really does. I realise you in particular used Mitch's first name as well.
 
If a deal is done for Clark the only way I see it involving Clarke is if Zac specifically asks to be traded so he can get more games. He finished the year strongly and I would suggest Freo (not just the supporters) will want to hang onto him as insurance for 211 having more issues with his feet.

It has been talked about as the Lions asking for a first plus a player. I would be happy with Walters being that player. He has had issues admittedly and injury problems but he showed some talent at this time last year. He is also a fringe player for Freo but plays a position of need for the Lions. That trade would be one where everyone could walk away happy that they have gotten something out of it and not given too much away.
