I don't think we could afford 600 a season maybe 400. But the incentive to play in a premiership may sway him. If he came to Carlton he would mainly play forward and be that big body we certainly need. I remember mayb 3 years back when he wad playing FF he showed alot of promise there with his blistering pace off the lead and strong hands. couldn't kick tho

Nah all Clark seems to care about is money would be on 450k a year at Brisbane already.

I think M Clark's trade value this year is less than last year*. he had a huge opportunity, and for the most part failed to take it. He has moved into a period of his career where the best may not be in front of him. Where he may have actually reached his peak.

* apart from the obvious that he is out of contract now.

Griffen is a bulk standard backup ruckman who couldn't beat out Maric at Adel or hold his spot in Freo when he got the chance this year. He had one massive game, a few mediocre games and a few bloody ordinary games before he disappeared in round 18 with Sandi still out for quite a few more weeks. He was also traded back to WA for personal reasons last year for a token draft pick. He is not going anywhere and even if he was he is worth stuff all.

I think pretty much everyone gets it. But even if he came to us and we had Clarke and Sandilands in the 22 as well, Clark would get some ruck-time.

No doubt but he wants to be a KPF and I am pretty sure you guys need a KPF so he fits the bill IMO. His ruck work would just be a bonus for the Dockers. Obviously he has attitude problems IMO but this could have come about by him deciding whether or not to sign with the Lions. He also had some injuries this season.

I think they know he wants to be a KPF but I think they are saying they dont need him because Kepler or Johnson can play KPF. But if Clark really wanted money he should do what he has the best chance of earning close to what he wants which would be ruck.

griffin being pushed out had nothing to do with performance. we had the best ruck in the game in sandi, and a developing a grader ruck in zac. in the games he played he was consistantly top 3 -5 for hitouts, kicked goals and best on ground once. when sandi went down griffin was also injured. last year he was a token draft, but he is worth a ton more now.

600 large?

He has to be tripping.

It would be ironic if we were able to trade the compensation pick for Palmer for Carke.
I believe we preferred Clarke to Palmer but was beaten to the punch by Brisbane.
Finish up with what we wanted in the first place.

If we get Clark, trade Griffin to Richmond for a pick or possably parcel Griffen and a pick (first round) to GWS for a shot at Jaeger.

Have a look who kept him out of the side and it wasn't 211 or Zac it was Keplar which is hardly a great recommendation for him. He was 9th in hit outs per game which was solid and 4 goals in 7 matches which is okay but nothing to write home about. He had one great game which distorted his figures on the year.

Overall he was a solid backup guy who did perform better this year when we saw him but he hardly demanded that we forget the spud he was at Adel. He is under contract and moved back to WA for personal reasons. So he is not going to consent to a trade even if he was put up.

Speaking of tripping
