Wouldn't you just be better off offering pick 16 for him and guarantee getting him, as opposed to playing hard-balll, and potentially lose him to GWS at pick 15? He has a young family, so he isn't going to sit out a season of footy if he doesn't get his way, and forego the 500-600k GWS could pay him.

If he does get around what he wants at 500-600k, how many players getting paid that much, get traded for second/third round + fringe player?

I'd be happy to offer our first pick 16. It's only if the trade becomes over the top that I wouldn't want to deal. It also looks like he might be signed on a four year contract. Same money as what Palmer is being paid at GWS.

I can only assume not too badly, they don't exactly have a plethora of big $$$ commanding stars apart from the obvious few, they have a LOT of kids, i'm sure if they front ended it they could fit him in.

It is a "reported" offer of 4 years. Nothing official.

There is an article saying that Brisbane will play hard ball... **** em! They can have him.

I don't think we need him... We have a forward.... his name is Pavlich.

With Mundy/Barlow/Morabito/Hill/de Boer/Fyfe all fit and firing next year Pav wont need to be in the midfield... He can play FF with Zac Clarke, Keplar or Johnson as the other big target. Add Mayne and Ballantyne and our forward line does not need Clark !!

I don't get why the club doesn't see it. We don't need him....


edit: Also the question of what we can offer to get O'Meara... Who knows... it is all speculative anyway. No one knows what GWS Want. But Maybe it would be Duffield + Compo Pick(Palmer) + Griffin + Crowley.... I don't know and I see they are not the best players and probably wouldn't get the deal done but I can't say what GWS want... They may like that offer and give us pick 2 in the mini draft.... Who knows....

Given Harvey's reported comments about Clark being the missing piece for a premiership, being willing to offer him a generous four year contract (though I suspect Clark has come down from the $600k figure) and, according SNF, he is willing to "bid heavily" for him... how does that correspond to Freo fans insisting "they" aren't that keen? Sounds like your club is, even if you aren't.
