I'd actually love him in purple now. He is exactly what we need, perhaps a sneaky trade offer if we miss out on Buddy and he is happy to take a pay cut. He can play.

Nb. I am aware he is a money hungry two faced tosser!

Al this talk about being money hungry is fine and dandy but we are planning to throw some cash at somebody ourselves.

I was thinking the same myself. The Dees will not be making a profit anytime soon and they are probably regretting signing this injury prone prick on big dollars. However, I wouldnt be inclined to help either of them out because of our history with them.

I would like to see the club go after another ruck/forward type instead of chasing Clark or even Buddy.

I dont think we need a ruckman/forward, we have Clarke (Please resign him asap), Griffin , Sandi, and Hammath. (and Moller)

We need a pav replacement and a mcpharlin replacement someone like a Taylor, Gumbleton, Pears would be great.

Then we have Smith, Taberner to hopefully step up and replace the other.

One question I have is could we fit, Taylor, Pavlich, Clarke, Mayne into the one forward line or would that make us too top heavy.

I would think we could fit him in, especially as Taylor would allow Dawson, McPharlin short rest in the back line.

Yeh I don't quite get the Clark bashing. I believe he made a bad decision, but it's not like he owed us anything.
He's trying to set himself up for life playing footy. If it takes a few years of starving for delivery in the Demons forward 50, he won't care. I'd run around in Demons colours for a fair bit less than he's on. I'd be an embarrasment to the sport given that I'd be completely useless, but I'd do it with a grin if I could set myself and my kids up for life.

No hard feelings to Mitch Clark. Melbourne on the other hand...

He told us years in advance that he was going to come to Freo, so we drafted for best available kids in the draft which happens to be midfielders thinking that our big forward was taken care of, this lying greedy prick put us back years in terms of developing a key forward. He even had the balls to release a statement on our website while he was still a Lion and that he was going to play for us no matter what even if it was thru the PSD.

He was willing to screw Brisbane over but in the end FU@KED us as well.

It's our own fault for putting our eggs in one basket then. For starters, who said he would even make a half descent key forward? There was alot of speculation at the time of this. Both us, and Clark were trying to screw the Lions over, there's no point in anyone taking moral high ground over it.

We offered him a very good deal, so he committed to us. Melbourne decided to continue on it's trend of playing reverse moneyball and offered a stupid amount of money for a KPF/ruck when there main problem is their midfield.

Melbourne would have done better chasing Danyle Pearce if they wanted to screw us and actually get some benefit from it themselves. A KPF won't help them as the ball rarely goes forward due to their abhorrent midfield.

What really sh@t me is they continued chasing all available KPFs and stitched up Dawes by payng overs as well. Time for them to reap what they sow. We could field a midfield of Michie, Crozier, Suban, Suttcliffe and still smash them.

I hope they fold as a club. They have cheated for an entire generation of footballers and they still suck. At least when Essendon and Carlton cheat they get some tangible benefit from it.

Out of the ruckmen you have mentioned, none can really play as a forward, at least not yet anyway.

I don't blame him for taking the money and running. That's life and he has a limited time to make coin as a footy player.

It was more the disingenuous, "I want to come home to my sick Granny" charade which left a sour taste in my mouth.

Yup. Now he's;

Not coming home to look after his Granny
Not coming home to win a Granny
:p

wasn't the draft after the trading period?

it was all the bleeding heart grandma stuff that made it worse but also compounded by the dickface schwab cockblocking us like an overanxious sluzza.

Sounds crazy given his injuries over the past two years, but is still take him now

He is out until rd 14 at least with a mid foot sprain. These types of injuries can be season ending and are not ideal for a big man.

i wouldn't touch him with a 10 ft barge pole

Don't want him. Think he's an above average player but his injuries are something we could do without and his attitude is a disgrace. He deserves to stay at Melbourne for the rest of his career and be forgotten immediately after he retires after achieving not a lot with the talent he was given.

Also there seems to be a few people on here who think we're going to get Harry Taylor. I would love him but I can't see him leaving Geelong, ever.
