Thanks West Coast for taking Gerrick Weedon and Koby Stevens instead of our now 300 game club legend.
Duncan has been a great of the club, underappreciated outside of the club. Always A grade and happy to play behind the stars for attention. Tough when needed and such an important connection through the center of the ground. Seems like a great guy and it has been a pleasure to watch him. I hope we rally and get up for the great man.

A lot of what I would say about Mitch has been covered well by the players and other posters. Let me throw some thoughts out there anyway:
It's very clear that Duncan has been an integral "brain" in driving the type of Geelong ball movement we love to see. He knows when to play it safe for ball retention and when to attack an opening. I have no doubt if we could've cloned Duncan a couple of times we'd have added a flag or two to our tally, because some of those sides still lacked a couple of classy ball users at his level. Our smart ball users on the rise, I can't help but thinking the great influence Duncan has had on them. He always knew how to find the footy too. He knocked out 20+ disposal games for fun from any flank or wing for 15 years.
I'd love to see how many modern day wingmen have beaten this combination of numbers at all, let alone for 300+ games: 22+ diposals, 75% disposal efficiency and 6+ score involvements. Sidebottom is an absolute jet but is lower on disposal efficiency and score involvements. McCluggage is hovering around that area (but not on disposal efficiency), yet plays mostly as a midfielder now and has a long way to go. Josh Daicos fails on all three categories. Any other contenders?
Duncan also represents everything we love about Geelong character-wise and has been one of those stalwarts who has helped Scott transition the amazing but aging 2011 list to the still contending one we have today. It is really sad that we are saying goodbye to the last players who link these eras, but it has been an absolute privilege to witness their careers.

They are quite elite stats, Kade Simpson was close but not quite I don’t think. Issac Smith also close but not quite.
