I thought in the limited time he had on the ground he seemed comfortable up
forward kicking a nice long goal and just missing a lovely snap that hit the post,I'd like to see him playing up forward any thoughts on this?.

look liked his skill were good - but soft.

needs someone to give him the ball, pretty much like our entire side. getting him and McMahon in one pre-season was ridiculous. Should have tried to another king (ball winner) before getting two more outside receivers.

looked ok because the rest looked so usless.

he'll get his chance, not sure there is a place for him alongside Browny, Lids and Pettifer....If I was him Id be looking to a HBF or wing to secure a spot

Yeah, I thought Mitch was good last night.

McMahon will be a big waste of space (in both the cap and the team). I've said it since the day we got him, we were in no need for any more soft outside recievers.

McMahon is on a hiding to nothing. we paid him too much IMO also.

Not sure how you draw that conclusion, Mcmahon got a fair bit of the ball only missed one target and tackled well...I would think has fair bit of improvement left in him...MM had 3 or so possies...who knows where to from here...

Bojangles, you are missing my point. McMahon is getting a fair bit of cash, nearly in the prime of his career and hes 15kgs. Hes the opposite to the sort of player we need.

We need someone whos stronger than McMahon. How many players do we have that have the ability to crash a pack open? Hes a waste of space, McMahon, and its hard to comprehend why on Earth we got him.

What the hell is wrong with you people, Your skills last night or for that matter last year were atrocious, MM and McMahon are exactly what you need, they can hit a target, What you don't need are those pretenders that can't execute there skills, basically half your list. :thumbsd:

He missed more than one target. I agree with all of u at Richmond, was crap at the Bulldogs and u guys shouldn't have picked him up. Should have went for a tougher player than him.

The truth really hurts.
The thing is though, some people on this board don't see it still.
Our starting midfield was a absolute joke, Hyde and Johnson were in their amongst others really says it, nothings changed.
We looked terrible.

Not when you consider half the prob last night was crap delivery into F50:confused:

Yeah, I spose. But its always the same. Opposition floods back, 2:1 ratio, ball goes down the other end, goal.

We did pretty well in the stoppages up to 3 quarter time. It was when we got the ball out in the open that we butchered it.

As dipper said above, those skilled players are exactly what we need.

Well you're going to have to live with it, the majority of teams flood in this day of football, the good sides manage to find a way and it all starts with executing and hitting a target.

Which game were you watching?

Morton spent a lot of time on the bench and played alright when on the field. He won the ball a couple of times and his execution was good.

McMahon was horrible. We're paying him to run and carry and to hit long targets quickly. He didn't even show a glimpse of doing so, though we know he is capable. We knew he was a soft defender and would come with liabilities, but he didn't show any of his strengths last night. He should be providing the run and carry King did, but better. He wasn't even close.

Morton was one of the positives last night.
Got a few possies from limited time and didnt look soft at all.
I must be watching a different game to some of you guys.

I thought he looked a bit lighter than last year but maybe its the yellow jumper.

McMahon looked ordinary with his disposal and I hope he improves on last nights showing.

Mitch Morton played well the other night. For his first game in the tigers jumper.
He needs more game time, hopefully he can play during the premieship season.
He is going to be a star ver soon.

can you see either of McMahon or Morton help richmond get to a grand final. i think not. Thats the point, dont worry about how much someone is getting payed or how much they weigh, or if they have silky skills. The question terry needs to ask himself and everyone else. Is MaMahon a premiership halfback flanker, and is Morton a premiership half forward. if not why get them to the club.

time will tell, but I'm willing to put my house on it, neither were in the top ten players at their previous clubs, don't see them making ours either.

Morton is 20 years old lol you dont really know much about footy do you he played 8 games with the eagles so how would you be able to tell after 8 games and 1 practise match

exactly, why would west coast let a 20 year old midfield type who would help them win their next premiership go, on the back of losing two midfielders in judd and cousins. richmond must know something the westcoast didnt see in 3 years . you must hang out with miller and Co
