Re: Mitch Robinson

There was never any ****ing doubt about the boy. He impressed me from the first time we saw him at the club. He's full of enthusiasm, he's full of talent, he's full of heart, he's got skill he can hold his own. That's a guy who whatever the outcome on the scoreboard I could never be dissapointed in.

Mitch Robinson you star.

Re: Mitch Robinson

Looks a gun. Love his attitude and hunger for the contest. I wanted Melbourne to take him with our pick 19, but wasnt to be. Cannot believe he lasted until your pick. Wtf were all the other clubs thinking?!

Anyhoo good luck to him, and I'll enjoy watching him tear it up for years.

Re: Mitch Robinson

My god this kid can play. Very awkward customer like we already know but gee wiz, his character, his fight, his will to get to the foot first is special. Injury permitting he'll be a very good footballer for our club. Players with that type of attitude don't drop off, he'll just get better. Great debut from Mitch.

Re: Mitch Robinson

Played a solid game but I want Ratts to push him up forward across half forward more often. Can play anywhere but reckon he'll be more damaging up forward. On Ya Robbo!!!

Re: Mitch Robinson

Robinson just goes at the ball 100 miles an hour and plays with the intensity of Peter Dean who was outnumbered two to one in the 1995 Grand Final.

Watch the last quarter of the Brisbane match to see how many important touches Robinson had when the game was in the balance. Robinson's decision making and composure when he received the ball deep in their forwardline was brilliant. Robinson saw Murphy out of the corner of his eye and kicked off one step to hit Marc on the wing with a perfect pass. The pass was weighted over the head of Waite and a Brisbane player to hit Murphy who was streaming down the wing.

You'd expect that sort of pass from Gibbs and not a player who was drafted with pick 40.

Robinson has Gibbs' vision and frame plus hardness.

Robbo will have stacked on some serious muscle by the time our weights coach has finished with him.

Robinson is no Terry Wallace special.

Re: Mitch Robinson

Love his confidence and willingness to take the game on, if he has that already, imagine what he will be like as he develops :thumbsu:

I hope he comes in this week and sits the cocky Bumber flogs on there arses! We could use his toughness this week. :thumbsu:

Re: Mitch Robinson

Two weeks and two dislocated fingers for Robinson.

I shouldn't be bemused by that fact...

Hopefully this will bring his head back down to earth. Mitch thinks that he is an elite player already but he isn't *not yet*. He needs to stop thinking that he is and stop being a smart ass and play some decent consistent football to be selected in the team.

*waits for the abuse*

But it's the truth.

Re: Mitch Robinson

At the risk of getting an infraction, you could say the same for a lot of carlton supporters.

Be happy that he's got a bit of mongrel in him, maturity comes with time - while aggression is something you either have or don't have.

Correct me if I've gotten the story wrong and he's done something shameful to cop the suspension.
