Re: Mitch Robinson

He reminds me more of Aker BB. Eccentric.
*Drools at thought of highly skilled dual sided goal kicking speedster at the Blues*

I was working the fearless angle a bit.

With the mannerisms......I think Tweak from Southpark was pretty close. :thumbsu:

Reminds me of Adrian Hickmott bull terrier like and hard as a rock. I think a lot of afl footballers need to take a leaf out of mitchs book and eat a spoonful of cement and harden the f!#* up

Good call, he hits the man and the footy with a ferocity you don't see often. Will work on his endurance, strength and decision making next year and with his determination he'll become a hell of a player :thumbsu:

Does anyone else salivate at the silky Yarran and the crazy brave Robinson playing on the half forward flank?

They're almost exact opposites with their size, skill, talent, ability and pace, yet both could be huge impact players and game breakers in their own style.

Unlike last year, Robinson definitely has more distance in his kicking after a full pre-season in the gym.

His set shot against the Swans didn't even look like falling short and missing.

He goes missing a bit in games.I hope he can improve a lot more as he seems more quiet this year then last year.

Robinson re-signs for two
“It’s a massive boost to my confidence, it’s like a huge weight has been lifted off my back,” Robinson said.

“I can now look forward to my footy, play my footy and not have to worry about my future beyond the end of the year.”

“I’m pretty lucky - one year in and I’m here in these massive facilities, with the Wallabies and the Socceroos coming through . . . and I’m also settled - that’s the main thing”.

“I just wanted to get the whole thing out of the way,” he said. “I didn’t want my name bandied about with the Gold Coast or whatever, and I always wanted to stay at Carlton.”

Carlton General Manager Football Operations Steven Icke said that both Russell and Robinson were deserving of their contract extensions.

“We see Mitch’s best football still ahead of him. We, like all Carlton fans, get excited by Mitch’s enthusiasm and aggression when he plays,” Icke said.

Great show of confidence in Mitch to sign him to a two year deal.

Well done.

Loved Mitch's game - but had no idea how where to position himself as a CHF. Copped an brutal spraying from Carazzo after he followed Setant and completely took himself out of the play while there was no one in the goal square.

So glad he's back though.

Absolutely loved his game yesterday.

Did anyone else notice his 2nd and 3rd efforts?

Held his tackles.
Got plenty of hardball.
Worked hard when he didn't have the footy.
Kicked some great goals.

Stock standard Mitch.

Great game

beat me to it Sound. Loved his game, deserves a lot of kudos. I'm not sure what the coaches had him work on, but for mine he seemed to be a lot more focused yesterday....his aggression was more controlled and his tackles were measured as opposed to just storming in and giving away a free. His running also seemed more measured and purposeful, rather than the fly in a bottle stuff and blowing himself up too early.

Great game Mitch, will be an important part of our next premiership tilt...keep it up.

Robbo near broke my jaw yesterday, that kid has a booming kick that i grossly underestimated and i have a terrible mark. Still, I'm glad it was his goal that put me in this much pain and not JK's. That would've been poetic... hahahaha

Top effort yesterday :thumbsu::thumbsu:
