Would like us totake him as a rookie next year he is coaching and playing atm seems to have matured could be a bargin

Drafted pick 6 by the hawks, but lacked dedication and got injured.

Now is coaching and playing in tassie, a lot more dedicated. 194cm tall, quick and good mark.

Worth a rookie at least, (invite him to train)

He might have the height and build what were the injuries and how long was he on the Hawks
list before they let him go .
By the news article he has been in Tassie 2 years .
Hawks Vfl team would have some stats for us to go on and did he get a game in the League team

I read the "winkelinks" articlle on him he's 24 and played a rep game for them
and performed very well and is interested in another go .

Hawks delisted him with a year to go on his contract.

Seams to have got his head into the right place and is gaining respect in Tassie
Pickering is his manager and some scouts are sending out feelers about him.

All this in the article, none of this info mine I just thought it would save people some
time and effort.

When drafted, he was a huge talent, with the ego to match. Was way too immature for senior football, didn't cope with being told it wasn't about him, not being the star player, centre of attention anymore, etc. Hid his injuries from medical staff, which led to him completely mucking up his body. Given a last chance, finally got his body right, then was dismissed for 'personal issues'.

Now, he has a long-term partner, a kid (two?) and has matured into your normal young adult. No longer has the athleticism that made him a top-5 prospect (though is over injuries, so maybe an AFL environment will see it return), and has put together a damn fine season. Lots of younger guys at South look up to and follow his lead - a 'natural' leader. (I still have doubts over his ability to fit into a team, as he was an exceptional leader pre-drafting too).

Definitely good enough to be worth a spot on someone's list, it's a pity his history with us basically rules us out completely. Wouldn't suprise to see him drafted, and play regular seniors football for a club.

I would like for freo to have him train with us, with a chance of a Rookie\PSD Pick.

Will be interesting to see how his athleticism is? hopefully he hasn't lost too much.

By the sound of it he likes being the big fish in a small pond, but by having him train with you for a month you will be able to see how much he has matured and if he can play.

Bondy - Make it happen :)

I remember back when he was drafted originally there was huge wraps on him. Interesting to hear some of the background from his time at the Hawks though.

Would be worth a look I would have thought if he has his head screwed on right.

We have a good record with mature recruits, we have a good record pulling wayward players onto line see Johnson, Walters, Clancee etc let's get him late in the main Draft before other teams do in the rookie Draft and try our luck. good value if keeps his head out of his ass Imo.

There is a rumour that North are willing to use their 3rd rounder, although they are pretty stacked for talls. I would like us to look at Ayden Kennedy from the Roos.

I'll 50% conceed on this. It's more than zero.
They were not exactly 25 year old ex-delistees though were they?

Podsially was on a list, didn't make it, and came back later in life. Nothing wrong with a journey, and I can't see what he did that would have had his file marked as never to play again. Hawthorn got rid of Ablett after a few games for being an idiot too by the way.
