Not the worst, i think he is N1njaju1ce`s brother. :)

I have started to see why we have picked Farmer. Love his long kicking and definitely plays for the team. There is definitely a short term (1-2) year future for him. I was bitterly disappointed he could not handle Milne for part of the game. Another worrying aspect I noticed was his speed. Played 5 or so meters in front of Milne which shows he was not able to keep up with him on the lead. It was only one game but that is a role he really needs to perform in if he wants to play at Tiger Land.

I think we can do better in the long run and can see him being replaced by a faster and/or taller player.

To early to call.

Positives:
  1. Good size
  2. Nice long kick
  3. Looks like the coaching staff rate him highly
Negatives:
  1. Not blessed with pace
  2. Can't recall a game this year where I thought he comprehensively beat his opponent.

Dea. Any way he might miss this week due to so many players being availble. But will still get more chances through the year.

happy punter is the worst poster in the richmond board.

judging a bloke after 9 games? come on mate give him a fair crack.

thats a big call on a poster having an opinion.

he looks like he will end up average at best.

why kick up such a stink over peoples opinions? some opinions say Vickery is a dud as well.

are you the full quid?

you've just had a bite at me saying everyone is allowed an opinion, yet i'm not allowed to say that I think in my opinion he is one of, if not the worst poster i have seen for a while?

anyone who can't give a bloke to prove himself at the elite level, where drafted players are given a TWO year contract to prove themselfs, more than a handfull of games before labelling them a dud or a superstar straight away needs to find a new club to support especially as we go through a rebuilding period. success wont come if we simply write every 2nd player off. let his contract run give him a chance and if late next season he hasnt improved i will also be on the "move him on bandwagon".

Connors has always had potential...mental was his issue.

Farmer looks like a hard worker but lacks physical attributes...= BIG DIFFERENCE

From all our players, confident Farmer will develop into a tank in a year or 2.
Forget the NFiers like happy ****ing punter, they dont watch the game and see they only look. ;)

Was dissapointed at his first few games but has come back well. Him and Will let Milne kick a few. But you cant expect every defender of ours to shut down every forward each game.

if you watch the game closely you will understand why Mitch and for that matter Will let Milne kick a few. Here is a leg up, think about our game plan, and what that says when we have possesion and running it out of the back line and into the middle and beyond...and then think about how we **** things up, through inexperience and the ball rebounds at 100 kmh, then think about who has run forward and then think about who has to watch who and how many they have to cover. Mitch was caught out purely because he was following the plan, i.e. when its your turn you go, and the plan came unstuck by errors up the field. ;)

sometimes i feel like im talking to collingwood ferals on this board

I think like the team as a whole, Farmer has improved as the year has gone on. Wouldn't worry too much about him being beaten by Milne, that's kid vs gun.

"lets give him more time".....has anyone said that yet? ;)

good kick and works hard i can see him becoming a good player with a bit of work

either way we got him and nason basically for free

The only feral activity is coming from you mate, you are the one labeling a player a dud 9 games into his career as a Richmond footballer:rolleyes:

Oh, the irony!

You've been carrying on like a Collingwood feral for weeks - almost no substance to your rants against Farmer, just clueless venom. In the one in ten posts you have included *some* substance, the majority of it is factually incorrect or contains ridiculous standards which betray your very limited knowledge of our gameplan.

What he's shown so far has been more than acceptable and it's far too early to judge him as a player.

i will be happy to bring this back up after the round 22 match and say i told you so

I thought you said you would be happy to be proven wrong?

oh yeah after rnd 22 he will have played what 15 league games that seems a fair and reasonable amount of time to write off a player...

goooodness me GIVE SOMETTTTTTHING

Re: Mitch Farmer

I've got a question for those that say that Farmer isn't the answer to our small defender need. Who do the Cats have that is a quick small defender to play on the likes of Milne, Ballantyne, Davis and the like? I don't believe that they have anyone and yet they invariably manage to keep these guys quiet when they play them. Why is that the case?
