Yeah you mad.
Never said average 60+ just be a consistent performer. His ton on a flat deck today doesn't wash away the 21 tests of trash. If he's consistently good then that's great for Australia, but in typical BF fashion it's bumped after 1 score. Well 1 swallow a summer it does not make.

tl;dr version. It's too soon to be claiming you were right either side of the ledger. It's just one innings.
Handscomb started like this and is now boned.
tl;dr

Well done Mitch Marsh , great innings at cracking pace ...actually think he was holding himself back

180 no amazing , hopefully Australia somehow win the test match and Ashes in the next few days .

I didn't think he had it in him but this was a vital knock no matter the track, marsh gets out early and England might be the team with a shot at a win, marsh scored so quick it has helped give us a small chance of beating the weather and getting a result.
3 players don't post personal best career batting performances on a pitch that is hard to bat on, the English bowlers were broken from the day before by smith. England would have to monumentally collapse to lose this game which is possible but highly unlikely.

Marsh has done well with his opportunity but the reason for his selection still annoys me.

Another improvement for mine is his concentration. I don't think he offered a chance.

The Marsh of old would eventually have holed out or played a dumb shot.

Mate he wasn't brought in as a strike bowler, he was brought in to take the weight off the other bowlers by pitching in a bit, as well as being capable to bowl if one goes down injured

The selectors thought they wouldn't lose too much batting by shifting from Handscomb to him and in this case they were vindicated
If you believe that you are not worth responding to

I wonder if Mitch Marsh could be a WACA specialist from here on out. Play six batsman, but throw him in at W.A. and see him go to town.
Has any player ever been a ‘home ground specialist’?

There are many occasions over the past ten years where you could criticise the selectors. This summer is not one of them.

Sure, Marsh, didn't get a wicket but I thought he bowled really well and his overs take the pressure off of Hazelwood to be the "workhorse". The first innings was by far the best Josh has bowled all series and I don't think it's a coincidence that Marsh was back in the side.

Wow.

Allrounder who bought into bolster tiring pace battery on good batting deck, happens to crack 180 no...

"Still a bad selection"
Where did I say bad selection in what you quoted?

Why do you feel the need to lie? Shameful really

What about the other nine specialist batsman? You keep posting 'career personal best' like it's a meaningful stat but two of the three didn't have a significant personal best before this.

The pope could score runs on this pitch. It shows your lack of cricketing knowledge...

Don't be absurd, he'd be run out early. His long frock would hamper his running, not to mention that his silly hat would probably drop down over his eyes mid pitch.

Why? Because he isn't Victorian?

Because he was selected because of his surname and not actually performing, pretty simple really

He has scored more runs in one dig than Handscomb's has managed for the series.

The selectors have been absolutely killing it so far in this series. All they need to do is to find a wrist spinner for the Sydney Test and pretty much everything will have fallen into place.

Allan Border front line spinner at SCG:p
Bob Holland and Peter Taylor probably went alright there too.
Bevan took a few wickets somewhere too. Most likely there or Adelaide.

How many test matches in the history of the game have seen 3 non-debutante batsman achieve this? Very few i'd imagine

All statistically anomalies aside, if you have been watching the game you wouldn't be asking this question.
