Mitchell vs. Cross vs. Bartel

Depends what you rate out of a midfielder. Mitchell is a quality extractor and is the best at getting it out to the flankers. Cross is a great linker with his great handballing, and can get out of anywhere with his handballs. Works well with West. While Bartel is probably (although it is tight) the better passer by foot and the best at getting it to players forward of play.

IMO, Mitchell is better at all, Bartel's clearances and Cross' kicking mean they lose out.

Good poll though. :thumbsu: Hard to tell, all have legitimate claims at being the best.

Put them all together and what do you get?

Oh, I voted Mitchell out of these three.

im bias, but I believe mitchell has the most influence on games out of the 3. He constantly has his head over the ball, his balls up in his stomach, and never retaliates to the poor umpiring he gets (for some reason its holding the ball when he doesnt have it, and never gets an in-the-back)

Mitchell and Cross are way ahead of Bartel.

Mitchell just ahead of Cross.

Its a no contest. Mitchell by an absolute mile...

Bartel goes missing way too often, Cross is a poor mans Mitchell...

Mitchell has just won Hawthorn's B&F so I would have to say he has the other 2 covered at this stage.
However Bartel and Cross are both underrated. Cross is proabably up there with West in terms of handball skills and being a ball-magnet. While Bartel is one of Geelong's consistent midfielders and often goes forward to kick goals every now and then, something which Mitchell and Cross don't do too often.
