This is news that we have been waiting on for some time. At last the club are in discussions regarding our mix of matches at the MCG and the Dome. :)

Carlton chief executive Greg Swann said the club's board was about to open discussions about the ideal mix of games for the Blues and how to handle future stadium arrangements.

He said the ideal mix would probably be ''seven-four'' - seven at the MCG, four at Etihad - compared with the current five-six mix in the 10-year deal that expires at the end of the 2014 season.

Unfortunately/fortunately which ever way you look at it, the run of 3 games at Etihad last year vs Lions, Swans, Eagles where we drew 40,000 to each, mostly Carlton supporters means that too many people would miss the game at a reduced capacity Visy Park.

.... Wookie only suggested playing GWS and GC at PP. What was the attendance for GC last year?

we only played them once i think at carrara
It was at the Gabba round 2 (I was there to witness the thrashing :D) but I can't find attendance figures.. I don't honestly think a Suns or GWS game would have HALF as much pull as Lions (Fitzroy connection), Sydney (Souths) and WC (top 4 team).

We actually played them at the Gabba in Round 2. Carrarra was not ready for games until round 7 or so. They had a bye in round 1. I went and it was a fairly large crowd, as the league and their supporters expected them to open their season with a good showing. As you know we flogged them.

That and having to park in the park or on the street blocks and blocks away from the oval was such a pain. Public transport I hear is also not too crash hot either. This is true about our crowd drawing capacity, we just draw far too many people to games for us to be playing in small stadiums.

Silvertails and their fancy vehicles. Those tram rides along Royal Pde were legendary.
Yep, then topping up at Naughton's and the Sarah Sands. Unfortunately, any application to play at PP again would be tied up in court so long by the locals, our first game would be Yazza's 350th.
