Go to NBA.com, or any sports site actually, he is plastered all over them. He has sign a 2 year...yes i said 2 year deal with the Wizards. All the US tv stations are changing there schedules, they only had 1 Wizards game pencilled in, now there coverage will kick off with his return game in Madison Square Garden against the Knicks!

Magic says he hoped he wouldnt return as to leave the fairy tale where it had ended so amazingly three years before. Mark Cuban, the Mavericks Owner says he is gonna get his butt kicked up and down the court by Iverson, Kobe, T-Mac! The Commissioner David Stern welcomes him back... mixed reports everywhere.

People saying Wizards are instant playoff contenders, key games for must see games is a Wizards home game against the Bulls early in the season, the first time ever he will be on the court with the Bulls not in there uniform! Then a bit further dwn the season the Bulls host the Wizards and Jordan is reunited with the Fans that loved him for 13 years, also Jerry and Jerry see him in action for a different team...

Jordan v Kobe and his mentor Phil Jackson, the 2 time defending champs? Jordan restarts is rivalry with Patrick Ewing in Orlando, also having to face up to an ex next Jordan in Hill, former championship teamate Ho Grant and superstar T-Mac.

Jordan v Iverson and the Eastern Conference champs! Jordan and Malone/Stockton once again face up! The Man v Sidekick when the Blazers and Wizards meet. First time ever in NBA history Scottie Pippen and Micheal Jordan will go head to head!!! (man this is the one im waiting for)

What a season it will be, can Jordan defy the odds and win a scoring title against Shaq, Kobe, Iverson???

Im getting carried away....does 2 seasons mean this one is a warmup and he expects big names to join him for the 2002/3 season for his last push at another title. So many questions??

Anyway there it is...HE'S BACK!

Just a question....how much do you think David Stern - NBA Commissioner, was pushing MJ to start up again? It's common knowledge the NBA has struggled, both in the US and overseas since Jordan's retirement - this will give it a huge boost.

Personally, I think it's a huge mistake, and he will struggle. People think of MJ as the greatest sportsmen of all time - averaging 15 points a game will only tarnish that reputation.

Oh yeah baby, MJ is back!!!!!! Again!!!!!!

I can understand people not wanting him to return, but he loves the game, he can still play it to a reasonable level, and this will be the last chance he will get for the rest of his life. If playing the game at the highest level is what you love doing, why not play until it's physically no longer possible.

I'm not expecting the world from him, to see MJ come back and play is enough. I'm sooo excited. In the aftermath of the tragic events in America, some great news has emerged, yeah!!!!

And remember, plenty said he wouldn't be successful the last time he returned.....MJ has prepared for this meticulously, he's taken every precaution, he's ready.

i still maintain that Larry Bird was a better player than MJ.

Oooooo....big statement VDent, I idolised the Birdman too and when the game was on the line he would hit the game winner 10/10 times...BUT...so would MJ night in, night out and he won 6 Championships - say no more!

Yeah but Bird was plagued by Injuries by the time he was finished. Jordan was lucky as apart from one serious knee injury that kept him out of the 1985/86 season i think he wasn't tainted by injuries. I would rather watch the eastern conference final between Boston and Atlanta with Bird and Dominque Wilkins than any other stuff with Jordan. I'm sorry but Bird to me, was the greatest player in the modern era of basketball.

Bird v Wilkens were some great games and i think the Magic/Bird rivalry is one of the best in all sports of all time, not just Bball. But MJ is undoubtably better than Bird. Bird managed 3 titles to Jordans 6, nuff said.

I think the best talking point is who is the best ever clutch ball player, i think it only boils down to MJ or Bird but Mr Clutch himself Jerry West should get a mention and i think Isiah was always very good with the game on the line.

I give it to MJ though.

Fair enough jod i should repharse my comment to
"Larry Bird is my favorite BB player and in fact, all time sportsman"

I still get a lump in a throat watching him win championships at the old boston Garden. What a legendary venue that was - the Victoria park of the NBA>

Thats cool V-Dent, it just so happens that my favourite Ball player is the best ever. I thought Bird had it tough though, he had to play Magic every year to win and vice versa. If they hadnt come at the same time no doubt both would have won more than they did. Same goes for great players in the 90's like Ewing, Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Wilkens, Payton...all would probably at one time or another got at least one, but they could never beat MJ.

I used to love the Boston Garden too, that place, Madison Square and the old Chicago Stadium were my favourites. Now only Madison Square remains. A pity.

Im so happy :D

What about when Dominque Wilkins and Jordan? They had great battles trying to out-do each other.

I agree Wilkens and Jordan had some awesome battles. Watching 2 players from opposite teams going back and forth with jumpshot after jumpshot dunk after dunk is certainly fun to watch and Wilkens and Jordan are two of the best scorers basketball has ever seen. (Jordan 4th all time, Wilkens 8th all time)

Watching two guys pile on double nickels on the same night on different teams is amazing and rare!
