Bumgarner going berserk with the bat on opening day a few seasons back is an outstanding memory. Seeing a pitcher do well with bat was always exciting though really.
I just like a lot of the game play and management decisions that come in to it around the pitching spot as well. Like many sports, MLB is falling in to so many measures to speed up the game and increase their share in the market - Putting more consideration into how to get non-baseball people into the game more than keeping old-fashioned baseball fans onside. A by-product of the advancements in society in general and this need to be fast and dynamic to meet the consumer and not waste their precious time.

Soto has covid so will likely miss a couple of weeks. Big out for DC in shortened season. He is asymptomatic so could be back sooner if he passes 2 tests. Braves Smith is asymptomatic and still hasnt passed 2 tests 3 weeks later.

Yeah this Nats offense doesn’t seem like it’s going to have the same bite to it as last year.

Considering he was a part of the setup just recently too let’s really hope he hasn’t infected anyone. Should this match even really be going ahead
