The reality is high quality pitchers in playoffs allow far fewer base hits making home run hits actually more important. This is a topical issue in the media because this is Boone’s theory and backed by the stats.

Bullpen was best in the league by a mile

That was just a clutch AB from a freak of nature

They need starting pitching badly

There bullpen was gassed by G4 cos there starters couldnt go more than 5-6 innings without getting racked

Astros had better starting pitching and it was the difference

Would never of started chad green and it cost them in the end today and was there only real blunder IMO

How and why?

Haven’t addressed our main issues. Keep spending money on big hitters and haven’t addressed our pitching issues. Our SP’s are mostly junk yet somehow the club seems to think that loading up on more hitters will get the job done. Must throw the cheque book at pitchers in the offseason no matter the price
