Stoked that we signed him. 1 year deal which could be gold for us. See how he goes but he will be fully ready to roll come start of the season.

Congrats Shoei!
Such a cool story and absolutely deserved. Still dickheads on twitter who disagree of course.

The NL was a bit of a toss up, no real outstanding MVP but Harper was pretty good. His final series was really good vs the braves when he didn't get a hit and we won the division

Rays have agreed with Franco for a contract extension for 11years, $182 million. Youngest player in history to sign a contract worth at least $100 million.

Soto is probably next with a lot bigger deal.

Its an interesting move - no real need to do it but if he pans out as they expect then it'll be a bargain.

Not as good as Acuna 8yr/$100m and Albies 7yr/$35m :handok:

Their agents should be fired after those extensions. Why put money back into the owners pockets? Makes no sense.

they have left a lot of money on the table thats for sure.

Im guessing Boras isnt their agent 🤣
You would have guessed right. There was a time (I don’t know about now) that only Strasbourg extended with his current team and the rest of Boras‘ clients had gone to free agency.

I dont think any Braves player is a Boras client - probably why he had a rant over how the braves won the world series.

Semien to the rangers - 7yrs and $175m
Gausman to blue jays - 5yrs and $110m
Garcia to Marlins - 4yrs and $53m
Alcantara signs extension with Marlins - 5yrs and $56m (good deal for both seeming still ARB eligible for most of that)

Scherzer to the Mets - 3 yrs and $130m (largest AAV in the history)

Mets making a splash in signings this off season with new GM and payroll will be in the top 2 or 3.

looks like Texas has found San Diego's money tree from last year

Doesnt take long for money to flow again in sport - all these clubs/owners crying poor during covid 2020 and now going to be the biggest amount spend in one off season.

Marcel Ozuna allowed back on an MLB list after they served him a small suspension that was included in the time missed in the 2021 season.

Still has 3 years and $53m contract to serve - be interesting if braves try and offload him and eat half of his contract. Not sure they want him back (he would be a good DH (if it becomes universal) but terrible in the outfield)
