They scrapped NBA this season so it wouldn't be surprising if they did the same to MLB. One is a waste of space, it's a shame there aren't more TV execs with a bit of foresight and backbone to stick with the sports focus.

I hope the NBA decision was due to the lockout and not a ONE business decision, but with the current scheduling I suspect it was the latter and am nervous about the fate of the MLB. Free-to-air is my only way of watching MLB (and getting my kids hooked :) )

Which games are being shown?
I'm guessing the Thursday game is the Cardinals @ Marlins, seeing it is the only regular season game on Wednesday (US time).;)

Good chance for everyone MLB.TV or not to have a look at Miami's new ballpark:)

Is anyone having significant issues with their MLB.tv subscription? It is absolutely infruriating me at the moment - it cuts out and restarts almost every game, clickable innings just does not work, even radio broadcast shuts out on the iphone - virtually every part of it is complete shyte.

Compared to the NFL game pass MLB.tv is completely poo.

The Android ap works really well.:thumbsu:

I hook my HTC ONE X up to my TV and watch the games that way, running off my home wifi network isn't perfect, but it's pretty bloody good.:)

MLB.TV is still at it's best on a PC though, they are still perfecting the ap for both android and those other things.

Did at the start of the season, but it has settled down. It's definitely not 100%. For example, I might try to skip the 2 minutes in between an innings, and it will then restart a match. That's easy enough to just click the number again and away you go. :thumbsu:

My two annoyances though...
1) If you choose to skip ahead, no matter what you do, it will come up with the hitters to come up. If you accidentally move your mouse onto the screen, you still see who the hitters are. Now for example, say TB have a man at 1st, and are 1 out, the hitter is Longoria...the person coming next is Denard Span.....you automatically know it's a ****ing double play coming up.

2) The scrolling line thing from start to finish.....you know when it is going into extra innings, home team will win without having to bat in the 9th, etc...

Picked up the Premium subscription around 3 weeks ago. Best thing I did. Watch on the TV, listen to audio coverage going to work, watch highlights of decent length of whoever I want. Fantastic! Thanks for the recommendation lads!

My live feed can be a bit of a shambles. Have a receiver rate of around 13mps, but it still lags sometimes, usually with bases loaded and the clean up hitter in... or so it feels. Much better feed watching a replay.

What's the go with the Foxtel coverage this season? Particulalry the last month. Seems to be the Nats, Cards or Phllies every time.
I know the Red Sox or the Yankees can't be on every time, but it would be nice to share it around a bit?

Ways to watch it on TV;

1. Smartphone/Tablet connected to the TV through a MHL cable (my preferred option)
2. PS3 (too slow for my ADSL connection)
3. Media streaming box
4. Connect the PC to the TV (I have no idea how to do this either).

I'm sure there's other options too, but I don't know much about them.

Yeah, it depends on the signal strength you get on MLB.tv through your phone, but for me I can hook it up through the cable and have almost no delay or lag problems.

Was trying the free games on ps3 to see what its like was a bit patchy for some videos anyone using the ps3?
I can watch replays through my PS3, but not live games, I used my phone and a cable direct to the TV for that.

It might depend on the speed of your net connection, I have simple old ADSL, if you had anything quicker I'd say it would work ok though.

I tend to watch the whatever the daily freebie game that is on mlb.com site, as well as find streams of Boston's games somewhere on the net & make the splurge in October, will purchase the play off subscription in October, which will cost me about £10-12... something like that.
