Good choice. This will make for much better viewing than Voss did, his "inspirational" speeches were deplorable. I reckon the players would prefer this as well.

I thought it was axed :drunk:

Think it had pretty good ratings, they took a year off last year due to Voss leaving I think.

Most people here hate Malthouse, but I hope he stays involved in footy. He is entertaining and has a personality, which is more than can be said for most.

I'd say he's entertaining because he has little to no personality.

Wonder if he'll constantly tell people they're not good enough the whole time like Vossy did?

So Mick will appear on a show about a bunch of kids fighting for the chance to be delisted by an AFL club.

In reality it's a pretty good get for the show. No appeal for me though, especially as Collingwood Media now do a great job of covering the journeys of actual recruits.

Sorry, just can't buy into a reality tv show like this. Too silly when you think about it.
Stunned, the afl allows* their draft to be contrived in this way.

* actually not surprised, but it's polluting the draft with pretend tv product. Shame they do this.

MM? I assume the pay is ok?
Great way to really cement your reputation with a nice contrived tv show

Joey Wagner, who won the first round of 'the recruit' came to Port Adelaide and couldn't even make a dent in the SANFL competition. He impressed as a great bloke and he could do some nice things when he got the ball but most games he just couldn't get hold of the pill. He was a lightyear away from an actual AFL callup.

So this whole concept can be taken with a big grain of salt. Even with MM on board.

His track record of developing kids over his career has been pretty good I would have thought.

Also what is he meant to do, nothing for the rest of his life?
Media?
He could put the shoe on the other foot.
He was quite good at it, actually.
He might become a director of football somewhere, err wait a minute, he was going to do that somewhere, hmmmm
