Event Mobbenfuhrer Medal - All SFA Team - EKA Medal

Okay guys the Mobbenfuhrer Medal will hopefully take place between the game I'm posting tonight and the Grand Final. The All SFA Team will also be announced as will the EKA Medal.

The ability to conduct the count as soon as possible will depend on file transferring between Tigs and myself or whether Tigs does the first half of the count and I finish it?

Thought though for the time being people would like to discuss who they think will take out the award and who the other favourites are.

For mine I give Ljp86 a chance to go back to back although his teams inability to win too many matches will go against him. Ant555 could poll well for the Bombers although a late season switch to full back could hurt his chances. ssfc0203 and Snag Breac are in contention for the Wonders while Gilbert Hodge is surely a chance to take home the prized award.

ALL SFA FULL BACK LINE
Throughout the Home and Away Season we have seen many strong defensive performances. Such defensive performances have seen the powerhouse full forwards somewhat struggle this season with only 1 non-bot forward able to kick over 50 goals for the season despite a lengthy 18 round duration and forced teams to somewhat rely more on their midfielders for scoreboard pressure. Toots Hibbert was the rock for the re-entering Alberton Swamprats and through performance and posting has secured his position in the 2008-2009 All SFA Team, named in the Left Back Pocket. Athletic Bombers tall utility Doggiesin08 has split time this season between the wing, ruck and full back with performances proving strongest when forced to be the rock in defense. Doggiesin08has been selected as the 2008-2009 All SFA Full Back. The Right Back Pocket position in the 2008-2009 All SFA Team has been filled by key East Side Hawks defender and competition stalwalt FiveStrings. FiveStrings who has proved to be more than a usefull aquisition to the East Side Line-up has been named at full back for his side for the entire year and has gone a long way to the Hawks conceeding the 2nd least points against this season.​

ALL SFA HALF BACK LINE
The All SFA Half Back line is a combination of quality defenders and proven midfielders who could not quite crack a starting midfield position but have shown enough to warrant their position in the line-up with strong performances. Sausageroll is selected on the Left Half Back Flank after a quality season in the midfield for the Southern Dragons and could have very easily been selected in the starting All SFA midfield or forward line such was his ability to both rack up big numbers for himself, keep his opponent quiet aswell as managing to kick 21 goals for the season. Baghdad Bombers captain Loopy_cam has been selected as the All SFA Centre Half Back. Along with Doggiesin08, Loopy_cam has formed as solid and dominant key defensive unit at the Bombers managing frequently to both negate his direct opponent as well as provide rebound for his own team. The Half Back line is finished off by Fighting Furies captain PHX (Pheonix Rise) who started the season in the midfield for the Furies, racking up big numbers before going down and playing in defence later in the season and proving he had a very solid defensive side to his game. PHX's strong defensive performances went a long way to ensuring the Furies were the lowest points conceeding team in the competition and help his team back up the ladder after a slow start for what unfortunately resulted in an unsuccessfull crack at back to back flags.​

ALL SFA CENTRE LINE
With so many quality midfielders in the SFA it was a difficult task to select the centre line but ultimately an all star unit was able to be produced. The centre line is headed off by East Side Hawks captain Wally who has been a midfield superstar stalwalt of the competition. Wally has continuosly racked up the big numbers in a star studded East Side Hawks midfied and also managed a lot of scoreboard pressure booting 29 goals. The centre position is filled by Geelong Gumbies superstar Portentous who thoughout the year was one of the major ball winners being right up there in many statistical categories as she managed to frequently rack up high possession, multiple goal games. Portentous like Wally produced 29 goals for the year and adds to another highly offensive midfield option to the All SFA centre line. The right wing in the All SFA team is taken by competition superstar, reigning Mobbenfuhrer Medalist and Shagons captain Ljp86. In a dissappointing year for his team, Ljp86 still managed to produced his self high standards and is once again a chance to take out the leagues highest individual honour.

ALL SFA HALF FORWARD LINE
The Half Forward line of the All SFA team is made up of players who despite not regularly playing in this line of the ground showed enough with performances in other areas to warrant their selection. Fatty Lumpkin is named on the Right Half Forward Flank thanks to a dominant season in the midfield for the Alberton Swamprats where he was able to rack up big possession, tackles and goal counts especially in the latter stages of the season and booting 25 goals and showing enough that he would likely be the first midfield rotation in this strong All SFA Team. Hawk Patrol is the All SFA Centre Half Forward due to solid performances this season with both the West Coast Wonders and the Baghdad Bombers. Despite his rather ordinary form when actually playing at CHF the selectors were left in no doubt that Hawk Patrol was a top 2 key position forward in the competition and so warranted his position at CHF. Hawk Patrol after only being moved to full forward after about 8 rounds managed to finish 4th in the league goalkicking with 42 majors. Mod Squad captain Fred rounds out the Half Forward line this season. Fred had a solid season playing in a variety of positions but was particularly strong when moved to play at CHF in the later stages of the season. As such he has been rewarded with a starting All SFA position on this line.​

ALL SFA HALF FORWARD LINE
The forward line of the All SFA team could have had a million different combinations with many midfielders in the mix for starting positions and the fact that East Side forward Legitmatic has failed to make the team despite 30 goals from the forward pocked (highest goal tally for a player to not play in the midfield or at full forward) is a true testiment to the strength of the forward line named. West Coast Wonders medium-tall forward Croweater41 has been rewarded with a spot in the All SFA Team in his first season for solid performances from both the forward pocket early in the season as well as full forward later on. Croweater's finishing skills were a highlight of his game and will compliment the team nicely able to play as a 3rd tall. YOTC has been named at full forward as the dominant full forward over the duration of the season being the only player to register 50+ goals. Another strong season from YOTC went a long way to his sides minor premiership title and will go along way to getting his team over the line in the coming SFA Grand Final. Mount Buller Demons midfielder and captain EBIAC has been named in the forward pocket due to a stellar season in which he frequently racked up big numbers and averaged over a goal per game. EBIAC also adds great leadership skills to the make-up of the All SFA side.
