Oh so you wouldn't be negative if one of the rare aussie games came along and MW2's awful host migration system makes a bloody yank host, ruining the game for everyone. They've updated this game 3 times already and there are still several problems.

You can't join if you start a single player game.

From the spec ops lobby you need to select 2 player online...then invite.

Haha, that Wasteland map we played on was shithouse!!! Thank god everyone skipped Underpass, that's just as bad!

Maps are way too big that's why there's so many campers.

IW dropped the ball big time on Multiplayer.

Played MW2 for the first time this evening. I'm so unbelievably disappointed. All they had to do was take COD4, slightly improve the graphics, give two more maps then last time and add local search and it was guaranteed Game Of The Year. Instead, they ruin it. I hate IW.

So... I went back to COD4. Everybody who is half decent is playing MW2 now so I was cleaning up. So much better. And I got green bars every time I went into a game. That never happens. But it sure did rub salt into the wound.

well no...they could've made entirely new maps but kept it closer to the formula that made cod4 so incredible.
after giving this game a solid 5 hour or so session tonight (i really should've stopped over 2 hours ago....all games bar one or 2 were in the negatives due to my ridiculous fatigue...but i didn't want to leave cause i was in green bars lol) i really cannot believe the maps shitness

literally every time it changed to a new map you heard people "skip, skip, skip"...then when it finally skips you hear "yayyy........awwwwww" because an equally as bad map comes up.

the maps in cod4 have an amazing flow to them.
good for any style of player....you literally can excel with any weapon on any map bar 1 or 2 per weapon type.
mw2 maps have no flow. they just have people in every corner crouching or prone behind a rock or a counter or a wall just waiting for somebody to run past to shoot them with their grenade launcher or assault rifle....

i'm not going to take back mw2....since i will bring it out every so often since so many bloody people are playing it but it is officially out of my ps3 now.

back to cod4 for me where i can enjoy 4 bar games on a nightly basis again.

Seriously, some of you guys need to pull your strings out. The maps are fine, once you've played them a bit (at least 5-10 games per map) you learn the little tricks and where people tend to move, just because you have to learn new maps is no reason to have a cry over the game. Secondly, regarding the connections, im playing on PC and have had full 4 bars for probably 70%+ of the time and the rest has been 3 green. I only have a 1500mbps connection so i'm not sure what the deal is with that.

Has anyone seen a nuke yet?

Good session tonight, played in plenty of 3 and 4 bar games which really helps. I dont know why people are complaining so much about the game, I am loving it.

I had a great session tonight with sgrobot (BF: Banana_Jim) playing a lot of Domination. We had a green connection the whole time and I had a whole lot of fun doing so (and talking a ton of shit over my headset, even though nobody else had one).

I was VERY up and down in terms of my K/D ratio. I had a couple of great rounds. Went 26 kills, 5 assists and 8 deaths in the first match (I told sgrobot how it was). But I kept having a good round, then a fairly poor round. Most of the time I broke even on the K/D ratio but did have a few standout rounds. I was usually a fairly high scorer even when having a shocking round too as I really go for the "zones/flags" quite a lot, although I am finding myself wanting kills more than anything now.

sgrobot was pretty good overall, didn't really see him have any POOR rounds and he was dedicated to capturing the "zones/flags" as well so ended up in the top 2-3 scorers quite often.

Ok, now be prepared for a(nother) map bash here. Wasteland, is BY FAR THE WORST MAP I HAVE EVER PLAYED! It is horrendous! Not only is it a sniper fest, the map has no real flow, you're constantly shunted off course by sharp turns and probably the worst design of a map I have ever seen. You can't play anything but a sniper and if you think you can, then good ****en luck as I highly doubt you'll last long. If this map died right now, I would rejoice and do a happy leprechaun dance as it is a blight not only on this game, but online gaming as a whole, it's THAT BAD!

The map bashing isn't unfounded though. There are some very poor maps. However I am starting to find a few of my real niche maps and become use to them (Even though I still have no idea the name of all bar 1 off by heart, that being High Rise, so it makes it hard to know when and when not to skip). But there are a few I am warming too, but it's not really that open playable type of set up that COD4 had where you felt like you could just about do your thing on every map.

BTW Last thing...The Party system is the biggest joke I've ever seen. I really don't want to extend this post too much by explaining it, but **** me I don't think it could've been made worse if IW tried!!!

Yeah i've got no problem with it, awesome game.

Anyone would think COD4 had the best matchmaking in the world the way some people are talking, rather than the "chuck you into a random game" system it has.

At peak aussie times i get greens more often than not, and if i don't, a quick quit and jump will see me get one.

The moaning about maps is reminiscent of when HALO3 came out. "Moan moan, the maps in halo 2 were better...ditch these maps and bring back halo 2's maps whinge whinge"

If you want cod4 maps....play cod 4.

Now that I've played the game a bit, the worst map in my opinion is Invasion, or as I like to call it, Hide and Seek. I can't help but get bloody annoyed when all my opponents are either sniping or hiding behind counters/corners/cars, no flow whatsoever, all camping.

Regarding the game, I never even had CoD4 yet I'm still disappointed with this game. I'm still hooked on playing it but there are so many awful aspects of this game and the terrible matchmaking system is only the start of it.

It's sorta like snowbound on Halo 3. Massive map...all the action happens in the tiny little cave

Skidrow has this problem too, the majority of action takes place in the hall with the green lights. To make it worse, the hole in the ceiling attracts snipers.

Speaking of Skidrow, it was only 24 houres ago where I saw someone use a Tactical Nuke on the map. Quite a disappointment, all it does is end the game. Still pretty impressive considering a kiwi got it he went something like 32 - 2.
