I'm sorry to burst your bubble when it comes Simon Hawking's coaching career, but Mooroopna are still a woeful team in the GVFL, but luckilly for them, Tongala is a lot weaker, player wise.

But its good to see him get a win, it will be interesting to see if he plays at centre half forward as was reported in the local papers, and if there is any truth to the rumours that he might get John Rombotis to join him with the cats in season 2001.

Mooroopna are the cats?

*jot*

Sorry, just collecting stuff.

If Mooroopna are 'woeful', perhaps they should consider slipping over to the Kyab FL or something?

Still, there's too much of that these days, gawd, Dunolly from LPFL to LVFL. Ararat Eagles from HDFL to LPFL, its getting bloody confusiating!

And what was the story with GVFL(2) versus CGFL ... when did that change come about?

I know Rombo was recruited from Caulfield Grammar, but wasn't he brought up in Fitzroy?
Maybe he's the sort of person the Reds and the Fitzroy Football Club should be chasing to inject just a little bit of the Lions into the developing Fitzroy Family.

The G.V.F.L Division two, changed its name to the Central Goulburn leauge two years ago but it was originally the Tungamah leauge until five-six years ago.

By the way, the G.V.F.L did a centenarry celebration book in 1994 with all the teams that played in the leauge from time to time, you may contact the Goulburn Valley Footbal League on (03) 58 216 888 an see if they might have a copy lying around somewhere.

Mooroopna has had some financial difficulties of late but they are on the right path but there is still a long way to go.

And by the way, the Kyabram league would be a real relegation for the club, it reached its lowest ebb last year but things are picking up.

It might be old news, but it is definitely GOOD news!

I reckon Matthew Manfield should also sue them, for their mismanagement of him as a player, during the years '97 and '98.

It's not really that old only 2 weeks so i presume he can't play until it's settled them who knows, maybe to Nth as he wanted in ther first place after the Roys.

What is he suing for? Is it something to do with injuries?

I'm not sure if North would be interested in signing him up, at this stage, would they??

He did ok in a few games last season, but I reckon he might have done his dash in the AFL.
