I agree with what was said during practice, Monaco needs to have the requirement for all three tyres to be used during the race.

Force minimum 2 stop race.

Also I would take it a step further, pit lane is closed during safety car periods unless changing from wets to drys or visa versa.

lol at Brundle and Crofty saying no harm with Grosjeans 5 second penalty. Danny Ric with the steal!
When Raikkonen finally pitted and Dan got past, he was 43 secs in arrears of Grosjean. When the commentators were saying that even with a 5 sec penalty Grosjean was still safe from Ricciardo, Dan was only about 16 seconds behind, I'm thinking, have you two actually been watching the times.

I turned off as soon as Dan crossed the line but from memory, he was only showing as being about 1.6 seconds behind. Nice work.

I can’t remember them showing dan crossing the line.
When they removed the timing graphic there was a 5.2 second gap and I recon dan was about 10-15 seconds from crossing the line.

It was amazing we didn't hear Dan b*tch once about how horrible his tyres were on those Mediums for the same length of time as Lewis and was putting in clearly decent laps to the end.

We didnt get anything of dan, no q3, no on grid, hardly any in race vision, no radio, no nothing! (haven't seen the post race to see if he was interviewed)

correct. how many more stuff-ups can they make. i really hope daniel has a massive contract cos they're doing a great job of ruining his career.
Daniel ruined his own career by moving to Renault.
He Would have been better off trying to manage the political minefield at Red Bull, even if its just on year long contracts until a Ferrari/Mercedes seat opened up. I don't think Renault are going to magically get better in 2021 either. Honda had 4 cars inside the Top 8 at Monaco, thats impressive.

Yet Renault bring ADR in after 12 laps or so...

boneheads - Monaco where track position is everything and they drop ADR back to 15th.

Not saying he had the pace to win nor the car to do it - but give him the strategy to compete at least.

They did it to pit under the safety car which is a much quicker pit stop than at race pace.
Unfortunately he lost all that time and more when he was stuck behind Norris.

It wasn't just Norris that he lost pace through, although he was the notable one. The concertina effect on that track meant track position was always going to be a massive problem.

Yeh it made sense for the leading cars to do it at the time because they had already built up a pit stop window gap to Ricciardo so weren't losing track position. Bottas even had time to pit twice !
