Geez. Another game, another loss.

The good thing about this loss, was at least it was a respectable one.
The bowling effort wasnt too bad I guess. Dipper bowled fantastically, and David was something special, yet expensive in his first ever bowling performance for us. 3 wickets is not to be laughed at, and I expect big things from this young lad.
WCE2000 also stood up, although was FAR too expensive.
That was probably the thing of our day, the bowlers, other than Dipper were far too expensive, and it cost us in the end.

It was a good fighting chase by the batsman, but unfortunately we fell just short. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come, as the Allies are showing spirit again.

47.4 Player to clucas91, FOUR, Brillian cover drive by clucas91

If you had put that bloody sweeper back like I asked it would have been a fine over.

Still I was a little surprised to hear my name being mentioned as a possible solution to our opening bowler crisis.

We gave it a go & you've done your best as captain no one can deny that but I think it's time to bite the bullet & resign the 1 day captaincy, we can't win this competition so we need to put all our efforts into the Test arena but in order to salvage some pride & have a different perspective on things I think you realise that it's time I was given my chance at the helm.
I believe we will win the Test championship this season & you're right David looked just like the explosive wicket taker that we need to partner me with the new ball in the Tests, he is perhaps a shade too loose for the 1 day side at present. So Masey you concentrate on the real job that needs doing & that's getting the squad right for the 5 day games & I'll take some of the burden off your back by starting the process of turning us into world beaters in limited over cricket.
I think you know in your heart of hearts what needs to be done.

I hardly think there's a crisis when the club can call on the services of the DIPPER first up.

NB-As the Mase points out if all the bowlers had been as economical as me they'd have made 230 rather than 318.

Seindude the last of a dying breed- the non wicket taking new ball bowler.

My heart is in the right place, and that place is in Allies cricket. We are not playing THAT badly, and we will recover. We are in round 6 of a 20 round season, hardly a time to panic.

We will return, but I want your input on future teams, you need to PM me as to me you are basically a co-captain..

Thanks matey ;)
