Surprised this doesn't have a thread yet. Comes out on the 26th on Xbox One/PS4 anyone picking it up? Steep learning curve but very rewarding apparently. Very briefly played Monster Hunter Tri back in the day and it seemed ok.

I played the beta and thought it was shit. Maybe I am missing something but it certainly did nothing for me.

I swear there was a thread but search says no. Must have been talking about the beta somewhere else.

Definitely going to grab it, multiplayer is always a blast.

played the beta with The Big Sauce and it was a resounding meh. I could see myself buying it if i was really pushed buy it didn't really grab me at all.

Game peaked when making the cat.

I really want to get into these games because my brother and a couple of mates love it but the gameplay is just way too slow and cumbersome for me to get into.

I'd be pretty damn shocked if this doesn't review well.

The E3 trailer put me off even looking into it, thought it looked garbage from that alone. Will see what reviews say, but nobody I've spoken to enjoyed the beta.

Never really gotten into this series. Tried one of the games and it didn't really capture me. Glad to see I'm not alone.

Famitsu reviews are approximately worthless. Have been for a long time.

If you're waiting for reviews this game will almost definitely review very well.

I think this series is more one you have to try for yourself and you'll either love it or have no interest at all.

I tried the beta, the game appears to be a bit of an acquired taste.

I still haven't decided if I'll pick it up at launch, or even a bit later. The game seems like it requires a big time commitment and I'm currently powering through The Witcher 3 finally since we've been in a quiet spot release wise.

I expect it to review well and I can respect what they're going for here.

Reviews are out and they are overwhelmingly positive. So keen.

Reviews are impressive. I'm not sure I like the idea of remembering complex combos though for a plethora of different types of weapons. Might wait a bit on this one.

Just picked mine up. Reviews look great, keen to give the full game a go now with the crafting and anything else missing from the beta.

I believe the beta would of been better if they had a collecting and crafting section.

Such a big part of the game and those not familiar with the series wouldn’t have a clue what was missing.

Looks interesting. Get the feeling it's going to one those games that tries to do too much and ultimately fails.

Will keep an eye on this thread though and see how it goes.
