how many guys do u think mooney will get for trying to take out minson. it was like a byron picket hit...completely dirty. the only reason it didnt look too bad was becasue it was on a guy bigger than him...filthy player.
im expecting him to get atleast 3 weeks.

I know you're looking for something to soothe the 6 goal loss but sooking over that is ridiculous.

How many more tequila and brake fluid shots do you think it will take to kill your last remaining brain cell?

Mincer had his head down so it had to be a free kick, but Mooney was actually quite careful about it. He got down as low as he could and went for the shoulder. The replay shows that. If it was anyone but Mooney you wouldn't be saying anything.
 
I actually think he will get rubbed out. I think it was stupid. I am getting sick of his bad attempts at being a tough guy. Try and be tough by getting the ball instead of having cheap shots at blokes going for the ball.
 
He should not be rubbed out for being careless......or reckless for that matter. The contact was accidental, intent must have something to do with. Free kick for sure but a report would be harsh.

I thought Ottens was not at his best yesterday, do you guys think he can help make a charge at the flag really. Grant beat him I thought. NB Bomber Thompson thought that also!

ps: Bit rich Bomber saying it was always going to be an ugly games given who you guys were playing......Up until the weekend we had scored the most and conceded the most points.....that implies the ball moves pretty freely from end to end I would have thought.....

It wasnt cheap...he had eyes for the ball. He turned sideways to protect himself and the ball. He should be fine.

Not rich at all, just commonsense.

We were always going to have the edge in marking contests (contested ones, not those cheapies some at the Doggies like to rack up when running free). Eade knew it and Thompson exploited it perfectly and played Eade like a fiddle in the process.

Thompson made sure we didn't let anyone run free on our half-forward line during your kickins and made sure we had a lot of tall players (including tall midfielders) in these positions to even further exploit the Doggies lack of marking targets.

The end result was that Eade and the Doggies were too scared to kick long from defence. Instead going with the 'chip kick to pocket, hold it for 20 seconds, chip kick it again, hold it for another 20 seconds and then kick it to a contest on the wing' ploy, which is incredibly dumb football and left your guys up the ground sitting ducks for our defenders.
Mind you, i'm sure the guys at the Doggies who just love filling their stat sheets up with cheap uncontested possessions in the back half enjoyed the tactic (think i saw Robert Murphy smiling once or twice).

Humble in victory I see! So Geelong caused the game to be ugly? It was a tactic to ensure we didn't out run you guys...is that what you are saying?

There is no doubt Geelong shut the bullies down and forced them wide and short. The cats played the tactic well and deserved a good workmanlike victory. About time Bomber out coached someone......Good luck against Grant he is ordinary. Even the Bullies beat the Saints last two times we have played them!
