Here's something for you all that shirked at my last post re: freo wanting mora at seasons end

Just think about the experts inside the team, the Physio's, biomechanics team, anyone who is paid to know the inside and out of each and every players body physique and capability.

Do you not think that they complete tests and continually monitor levels against benchmarks inside the team and AFL as a whole? These same experts can possibly see through historic trend data that a certain player may have already peaked in the output that their body is going to give. This is no doubt done when a 29 year old is trying to negotiate a new 4 year deal (ie: Mundy).

For those questioning if the club may or may not want Mora around post this season or next, maybe they know that 3 long term injuries will inevitably reduce a players capacity and longevity in a player. As every player is tradable in this environment (wake up if you don't think this is true) it is basic business decision that Freo will have to make that decision when it comes to contract time. They possibly may trade him at the height of his return - who knows?

Take the emotion out of it - I am as proud and excited to see Mora back out on the field as the next freo supporter, but don't for one second think freo are constantly analysing its strengths and weaknesses. Mora could yet be either of those

Not madness. Hilly has a fair start on Mora now, but Mora's eventual output will be greater. Hill would also have higher value on the trade table. I thought I'd add that in there, just to get a few more people wetting themselves.

If we lost Morabito to West Coast it would be a disaster. The club delaying his comeback so long was very strange.

Yeah or maybe the coaches want to make sure that they get the least amount of minutes and are cautious about a potential injury.

Or maybe they think that first quarters are extremely important and want their best chance of winning them.

Or maybe they want to let the sub player play against players that are already a little fatigued.

Or maybe they only do it to the players that are reasonably versatile to cover injuries / game plan changes etc.

Or maybe they want to use them as a bit of a wildcard in case of emergency.

Your problem is you don't get that Morabito was held back until he was ready to take his place, and would do his job better than the player he displaced.
The club delaying his comeback was NOT strange. He didn't play that much better than anyone else. He was building, but only reached a consistent level very recently. Watch the WAFL and read reports.

OK just incase there are more mouth breathing morons like PP I"m going to preface this post. I 100% believe that Mora has never EVER said anything to anyone about leaving if he doesn't get a game. Now to address PP's poor excuse for a post.

Oh my point was to boot anyone not happy about being in the seconds. Careful, you've drawn such a long bow, it's about to snap.

He averaged 12 disposals a game in his first year. 4 yes that's FOUR years later he's played half a season in the WAFL. Just because he's had a good month and a half doesn't mean anything. Tom Sheridan is in the bests most weeks for Peel yet put him in an AFL side and he's lucky to get 10 possessions. Viv Michie won the B and F last year, I know he has had injury in the last few rounds, but prior he didn't set the world on fire. And guess what? Even the posters on the Melbourne board have noticed that Viv only runs one way. Even they're not 100% happy with him. Roos (according to their board) is critical of his ability to run defensively. A key critique of Ross'. You've also got ZERO idea about what KPI's he needed to tick off, if it was the medical staff holding him back, if he needed to work on his game awareness and touch etc.... You see some stats on a website and declare he has to play or Ross is hurting the team. Get a grip. If Mora did (which I very much doubt) say play me or I'm off, I'd hope Ross would say it's been nice knowing you. You've got NO idea how he's going to go. Insinuating that he's crucial to wins is beyond dumb, even for you. While we're all hoping he fulfills his potential, nobody knows how he's going to go. How many games have you actually watched him play? How many Freo games have you watched? I'm betting on zero on both counts.

I don't know why you bother. Pokerspiv has proven himself to be completely incapable of comprehending anything he reads. He changes whatever he reads to suit his own arguments and he has psychopathic tendencies imo.
