He's back in the gym and hitting the track after his knee was cleared out. Griff had the same op where the aftermath of an op needed to be tidied up.

Expect what you want. I for one know that Mora is gonna take this club to another level
I really hope right.

Mora has shown more in his limited time than many on a lot of lists. Let's not forget how much struggle this guy has gone thru. He has worked himself back into 1st grade last year and needed his knee cleaned out which is not uncommon.

He is closer than ever than reaching the target he's never lost sight of. In many ways Mora's story is a Dockers story. Back the beast in guys.

I have been backing him for years, but he is unfortunately made of glass, well his knees. There is no evidence to suggest he can get through a whole AFL season, especially with Ross high work ethic which is needed to implement the game plan. How will his legs cope with the km's?

Perhaps he might need to change his position to remain at the club? Super sub? The guys determination and work ethic defs needs to be applauded, but he might need to move to a club like Melb to continue his career, as Freo short term goals won't help him get regular games.

How is it negative? Given what has occurred so far in his career, its a fair statement.

The poor guy's body just can't take AFL football and with Ross as coach its hard to see his body lasting a whole season. I

Not so. His knees haven't been wear n tear issues. Torn ACL's are not due to cumulative stresses.

That may be true, but what is the probability of it happening 3 times?

It's evident that his knees can't handle the stress of AFL football and his only hope is that the LARS operation yields a different outcome because otherwise its just a matter of when. Like I said before he needs to change position, the midfield option doesn't seem a viable option and after seening him play last year he was avoiding as much contact as possible.

Should give the forward position a try I say.

The point about Mora avoiding contact last season is utter rubbish.

It is just appalling luck.
His last tear was an extremely innocuous incident at training.

I'd love to see this guy back, no idea how he's tracking but don't think he is even training ... Luckily we have the luxury that there will most likely be a couple of obvious retirements / delistings at the end of this year to be able to keep him around if the club thinks he can get back out there.

Unfortunately, he is so far down the order now that I would be very surprised to see him out there this year. Going off the preseason I'd expect to see guys like Sheridan, Crozier, Blakely, Weller, C.Pearce, Ibbo, Tabs etc. come into best 22 calculations first and foremost. All of which weren't regulars last season.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him put through an individual program, a mini-preseason if you will, and all things going well he can be ready and fit for AFL selection by mid season.

If the club feels that preseason would be better without match practice then he can be given eight weeks of track and training work to get up to speed and we can upgrade a rookie.

No pressure on him to push too hard to be ready immediately, two months of preseason, best foot forward.

Sniff....

Several years ago we were all frothing at the thought of the Pavlesque Morabito leading us to a premiership as part of an elite three pack with Nat Fyfe and the silky Stephen Hill.

Here we are today marvelling at Nat Fyfe, the almost consensus No 1 player in the game, and the silky and deadly Stephen Hill (AA form).

Just imagine if Mora didn´t have glass knees and became the player we all thought he would be - booming kick, great mark, great runner, good kick, real aggro. 191cm and an athlete the equal of Nat Fyfe.

Given the development of Fyfe and Hill, how good could Mora have been?

God I feel for the guy. To most of us, he is out of sight and out of mind, but imagine him watching Fyfe and Hill go gangbusters. He was their equal with just as much if not more potential. It could be Mora being feted as the best player in the AFL today. Absolutely gutted for the guy. Remember to have a beer for this guy.

Round 1 2016 you'll see him out on the field full strength :')

When I made that video I seriously thought he was going to get back that year and have an impact :(

I thought he would win a brownlow one day but 2010, his last full season, is now a long time ago.

I really hope he takes to the field again soon.

Sad but surely he's finished.
Wash your mouth out.

Geez. I knew he was good but that video. Wow. He was amazing. Fyfe like but dare I say it ... Faster and better kick.

Nah, not better kick ... except for distance, he could kick a mile. Highlight video's rarely give you true sense of somebody's game. His general field kicking was OK and may have improved with AFL experience, but it wasn't that great IMHO.

But for sure, a special player he would have been. Especially as we've developed the game with the need for mids who can do a bit of everything. He would have been a weapon and a half for us.

And that last bit, the running goal in the final against Hawks. I remember exactly where I was sitting when that happened, was on the fwd pocked at the end he kicked it at. It is one of those forever moments etched in my mind that I treasure.

But on Mora in general, watching those sorts of clips just upsets me TBH, what a shame that it's turned out like this for him.
