Yup, spot on. Even if Mora will not play AFL footy anymore, Freo have the duty of care to make sure they take care of him medically. They are also telling all the other players it's ok to train hard and play hard for the club, cause the club will take care of you if you get injured.
Applies to the whole league as well. So much many money in it, it would be really bad when anywhere in the system player surgeries would get economised.

Guess the main thing about more surgery at this stage would be a lot of experts have different opinions now about what can and should be done.

Fyfe, said in one of his interviews he had not seen mora around the club lately, wonder if in Europe or US having one last opinion/ operation before he makes the final decision. Good luck to him if he is or if he is just kicking back and getting on with life.

Not been at the club is worrying because it he could still work his upper body if he thought he could return this year. Pretty much indirectly told us that he is gone for the whole season.

Life can be an utter bastard sometimes. As someone who also had to deal with extreme disappointment at a young age, I can relate to the emotions that will have been going through his head for so many years now. He now needs to focus on what the future brings to his life - his football career did not go in the way he would have planned, but that's life and life goes on. It won't be the last time things don't go as planned for him, so will be a solid character building experience for him. Onwards and upwards from here ...

He frequents my local cafe. Saw him there last week (and most weeks). Still looks incredibly beastly, especially next to me.

Still hoping until I see the official announcement. I just have this feeling Mora and Fyfe were meant to tear it up together. He's only 23, it will happen!
Yeah all the evidence would make you think it's not gonna happen but I'm still hopeful too. Until it's confirmed it's game on

Despite Fremantle's relatively small injury list they are a bit light on for key defenders with Alex Silvagni still seven to nine weeks away
Lyon also said Anthony Morabito is facing an uphill battle to play any football this year as he waits for bone bruising to settle in his knee.

"Anthony and I had lunch last Friday just to check in," Lyon said.

"He's got bone bruising.

"Julian Feller is the surgeon in Melbourne and he's consulting with guys from London, Melbourne and the Perth surgeons here. He just needs some more time for the bone bruising to settle. He's boxing and riding and once it settles he'll start running but he'll be at a disadvantage for the rest of the year obviously."

Morabito has not trained this year after signing a one-year contract at the end of last year. He played three games for Fremantle last season after three successive knee reconstructions kept him out of the AFL for three years.

Speaking of the rookie list, does Mora's current status qualify him to be classified as LTI and allow us to elevate one of our rookies mid season? With Dawson out for another few weeks, it really worries me that the only one we have in the cupboard to cover our Key Backs is Alex Pearce, at least until Alex Silvagni is ready to return. Not that we have many more in line apart from Tanner, but he is physically more developed. Thoughts?

Yes but it means he can't even play for Peel for at least 8 weeks. Not that he's going to be playing

There's no point upgrading anyone till we're ready to play them though. In case other circumstances mean we need a different upgrade

bizzare that he is riding with his knee issues and muscle imbalances that are causing the injures but whatever
