Picked up the local rag last night and saw on the front page the result of ther local league GF.

Pakenham (Lions) d Narre Warren (Magpies).......

Uh oh, I certainly hope this isn't an omen. I am sitting here at home, and turned to look out the window. Sitting on the window ledge, looking in at me smugly, is a magpie. Bloody thing just sat there too, and refused to fly off.

This morning walking out to my car to come to work, a magpie was swooping my cat.

The amount of Magpies I've seen for the first few weeks of finals I was starting to think they were the most common birds in Geelong. Then bang, we make the Grand Final and I'm lucky to see one a day. Hope that's not a bad sign...

They're everywhere in Sydney, but I've been down in Geelong this last week and haven't seen one. Mind you, I haven't seen any lions either, so that sort of evens things out.
It'll be a draw.
