Had a good look at Flash Trick, who aruably couldve been the best horse int he race... Querie though was the distance...

COme in to 9, so good get there...

Should be a great race...

25,000 - where did they fit them all? Ah well the MRC will have lined their pockets again, maybe they can renovate the grandstand again for the corporates, fill it with more plasma screens and take away all the public seating.

They might have the cash and the crowd, but there are much better country cup meetings than Morningtons. I wouldnt be seen dead down there on cup day. Its a dump when theres 1,000 people there let alone 25,000.

Perhaps next year they should throw a bit more prizemoney around and lift the standard of the other eight races on the cup program.
