I actually have no problem with the likes of kymhodgemansmo, Frodo, Carey_Is_King, et al., who often aim to be controversial with the view of generating some robust, spirited debate. I think this is a good thing as long as it is the argument that is discussed. I believe that the board is stronger if it is able to support this. Even the majority of G4E’s posts were about achieving this end. Unfortunately he often overstepped the mark with some appalling commentary, which is why he got banned.
The problem is that we are in the midst of the off season, there is very little new (football related) to talk about. Most of the favourite topics such as Carey vs Hird, Club viability and futures, Salary Cap cheating and Minor Premiership have been done to death (more than once for some!) and have become tedious.
There are other threads started that are immature or just plain stupid. It is easy for the intelligent ones to leave these alone, leaving it up to the other stupid ones to respond.
