Agreed, take it and move on. FWIW I thought Ryders suspension was way over the top, Kommer should have got more his was a very dangerous act.

Watching the video I don't see how that is any different to the bump that Thomas laid expect that Morris didn't change direction. Like Thomas Morris didn't jump into Elliot, he tucked himself up and went to lay a forceful shepherd. As I said earlier I doubt we'll fight it because it's almost impossible to get guys off, but I wouldn't be overly upset if we did have a crack at it.

Was clearly high contact. You can clearly see in that screenshot, that Elliott's shoulder is behind Morris' and that Morris' shoulder is in line with Elliott's jaw. Pretty clear cut where impact was going to occur.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jamie Elliot cops hits like that 5 times a year. That's what happens when you're a short arse. Shame Milne and Ballantyne don't cop them more.

It's a bit of a shame that in years gone by that would have been seen as nothing more than a clean, well-executed bump.

not really. if it had been shoulder to shoulder, it wouldn't have even been looked at except for Tigers fans replaying it on YouTube a million times.

I'd contest it on the basis that the contact was incidental and morris didn't engage in rough conduct but was simply attempting to lay a shepherd on a player within 5 metres. Elliot moves at the last minute and changes direction which results in his head rather than his shoulder being hit Morris is not at fault as he was following the line Elliot was running which is straight towards the ball carrier. Due to the change of direction Elliot's head is lower down and as a result contacts Morris's shoulder as opposed to shoulder to shoulder contact. At no stage does Morris raise his shoulder or change his approach towards Elliot and thus the contact is incidental and not rough. The Lindsay Thomas case can be also used in this case because Lindsay Thomas did not intentional make head contact with Ben Reid so the contact was incidental. The key difference is Ben Reid was subbed but Elliot wasn't hence Morris's should be at a lower grade than lindsay's.

After watching the replay on 360 I've changed my opinion, appeal. That is weak as piss and as Robbo said he turned his body for the Shepard, total accident. He could have ironed him out in a big way but made adjustments to prevent that happening.
