I really hope they both can come back and play good footy cause this will be their last chance Id say.
With knees, as I understand it you're basically back to training after a couple of months but no footy for the rest of the year. IIRC, Schwarz came back and played for Melbourne the same year after he did a knee and promptly blew it again.Originally posted by daddy_4_eyes
With about 2 weeks to go in the season I remember reading something about Read and Morrison being fully ready to start pre-season training with the rest of the team. They have basically recovered from their injuries.

I dont thikn it will be their last chance just yet. We have a lot of midfielders and other people, and they have good potential. Just because they are injured at present is no reason not to persist with them because they can both be very good footballers.
I'd generally agree, but Read was going like a steam train in the preseason before his non-reco knee went. Like to think he could hit the ground running again.Originally posted by iceman
i dont think we can expect miracles from Read and Morrison as its a pretty common fact that players take a good season or so before they get back to their best

The thing with Read is he didn't re-do his knee, he did his good one didn't he? so he has had 2 but only one on each knee, dunno if thats good or bad meaning he may be more prone to doing another?
