That atrocious Media Box has scarred Lords.

Asgiriya is a dump

MCG - well if you like plenty of concrete. Its a great stadium, but hardly beautiful

I agree with u Re: The commentary box at Lords, MCG has a lot of history.

Asgiriya is sensational. I ahve actually visitied there and it is breathtaking

You're confusing the sub continent as one. Indian/Pakistani grounds are dumps but then so are the countries. Sri Lanka however is different.

MCG/Adelaide/Bellerive - Australia
Cape Town - South Africa
Asgiriya - Sri Lanka
Arnos Vale - St.Vincent

Has anyone seen the atrocity the SACA wants to turn the Adelaide Oval into, they've got funding for it too.

What a disgrace. People won't stand for it. I thought the SACA couldn't possibly root anything else up. Well they have. A resounding thumbs down from me.

That doesn't make the ground beautiful. The photo you posted the other day
gave the indication that the ground is a goat paddock (rare for a home test venue of Murali I know ;)) with 2 or 3 rickety old stands around it. While the surroundings may be lovely, the ground is nothing special.

I love the grounds in SA especcially the one in Cape Town, brilliant backdrop of Table Mountain. Some of the English County Grounds are good too Chester Le Street with the castle overlooking springs to mind. Also the ground in Queenstown is good.

what condition is galle in now? are they rebuilding it?

the breathtaking one in the west indies might be st lucia?

i've been to the one in cairns, pretty nice ground too

Not really. Yes its massive and concrete but is still great when youre in it.

Not like the Gabba which is the opposite - ugly concrete

Now Now, lets not fight. Everybody knows that Subi is the ugliest Concrete stadium in Australia...

The MCG is not "beautiful".

The answer lies with many of the minor grounds in England, Scotland, and South Africa.

There is one ground that is right next to a huge volcano but i can't remember where it is.

Isn't there some county ground whereby a tree is the boundary because it is growing on the field
