Most Boring VFL/AFL Player Encounters/Sightings.

Hamish Hartlett sat a couple of rows down and slightly to the right of me at the cricket, Brent Rielly took a similar position to my left.

A couple of years ago I served Luke MacDonald, Taylor Garner and some other North player at Woolworths in Launceston. I was a bit starstruck, but I wished them the best. Pretty sure they got pumped the next day, but I don't think it was my fault.

Went to the shops the other day, saw a tall bloke with his mask down under his nose going through the checkout and thought to myself, Good one dickhead. It was Tom Hawkins. Didn’t see what he was buying though.

A couple from the 90s

Basil Zempalis had a crack at the girl I was seeing at a nightclub in Subiaco. Pretty awkward all round.
Was doing my best to get some interest from a girl at Top of the Terrace - Chris Mainwaring walked in and I was benched immediately.

Most borning?
Stood behind Mick Rea in the line to get movie tickets. Seems like a really nice guy and a great dad.

Walked past a Subway a few years ago and saw Neville Jetta eating a cookie before a game. Looked like choc chip and he was eating it while using the paper bag to keep his fingers clean.
I remember thinking that it wasn't the best pre-game meal.

Mick Rea played 3 games for Melbourne in 1978 apparently. You've beaten my Darren Loutitt, and by some considerable distance.

I was cycling to my Alcoholics Anonymous meeting when I clocked Mason Cox outside the milk bar opposite Northcote High School, the one that does Asian fast food. He was talking to three women. One had a black dog on a lead. Mason has really thick grey hair does he dye it that colour or is he prematurely aged?
Pretty sure it only started going that way when his livelihood depended on being able to get on the end of an Adam Treloar clearance :p

In 2013, when I worked at a McDonald's, I served Stephen Milne and his family. As he was paying, I grabbed my friend from the break room to come (discreetly) verify that it was actually Stephen Milne.

About two weeks ago, at a servo attached to the same McDonald's, I saw one of the McKay twins, but I don't know which one it was. He didn't strike me as having the body of a professional athlete apart from being really tall.

My ex gf was delivered by Melbourne premiership player and Brownlow medalist Don Cordner.

She obviously met him but doesn't recall the experience.

I never met him as I didn't know her at the time

The only link would be that her touched her during the delivery and I touched her numerous times as we (her not Don) shagged on and off for 8 years

Child birth is one of the least boring experiences I can think of.

So was my brother. I'm guessing there's a fair few Victorians who can say the same.

Back in 2013 or whenever it was, I walked past Dusty at the entrance to the flash hotel part of the star casino where he was staying when he was in sydney for his gws tour.

We looked at each other, eye to eye, for a moment and kept going about our lawful business.

I didn't say anything because I wasn't going to argue with him.

Must have been over 20 years ago now i was at the club in Smith st Collingwood, ended up partying with Matty Larkins, he'd been out of the game for a while but still wore his NM blazer (kind of a blazer), he was hammered lol, nice bloke though.

Ran into Chayce Jones at a Woolworths last year, mentioned something to my mate about the Crows just before I walked around to the corner and saw him, think he ignored it

Back in the day was at Star Bar and Jarryd Roughead entered the joint. Didn’t say anything to him but thought to myself, “damn, that’s a rough head”

That's pretty boring. It's not far away from I saw him on TV.
